Weston Homes has launched The Head Quarters, a boutique 34-home scheme set within the historic Wellesley Estate in Aldershot.
The 2025 WhatHouse? Awards Housebuilder of the Year has converted the Grade II Listed landmark into a collection of one, two and three-bedroom apartments and three and four-bedroom houses, combining Victorian architecture with contemporary design.
Completed in 1895 as part of the redevelopment of Aldershot Camp under the Barracks Act of 1890, The Head Quarters was constructed by Martin Wells & Co. to the design of Royal Engineers surveyor, Thomas Jerome. The foundation stone was laid by The Duke of Connaught, marking its importance within what became the first purpose-built military town in Britain.
Weston Homes has unveiled a new two-bedroom, two-bathroom show apartment as part of the launch, showcasing the preserved period features of the schemes and combining them with modern interior design and a warm colour palette.
The housebuilder recently completed a similar heritage restoration scheme at the nearby Gun Hill development, which saw the historic Cambridge Military Hospital transformed into a thriving new community.
