Andy Hill, Persimmon Homes
Persimmon Homes has appointed a new regional production director for Wales and the South West. Andy Hill joins from Tilia Homes (formerly Kier Living) where he served as a regional construction and SHEA director. He commented: “The construction-related focus of the role was incredibly appealing.”
Russell Hayes, Vita Living
Russell Hayes has been promoted to director of residential at Vita Living after 17 years with the business. He began his career at Select Property Group, Vita founder and chief executive Mark Stott’s sister company, in 2007, rising from sales manager to investor relations director. He will also be leading Vita’s new co-living brand Union.
Alex Sciarretta, Carden Group
Carden Group has appointed Alex Sciarretta as land director. He has almost 20 years of industry experience, with previous roles as land director at Harrow Estates and Taylor Wimpey. Alex was pivotal to Carden’s first land acquisition, a 220-acre site in Exeter, nown as Treasbeare Garden Village.
Saoirse Byrne, Aitch Group
Aitch Group has appointed Saoirse Byrne to be its new assistant head of asset and property management. She joins from Savills Ireland, where she began her career four years ago as an intern, later joining the company’s graduate programme. She has completed her APC qualification and became a member of the SCSI and RICS.
Anabel Christmas, Richborough Estates
Richborough Estates has appointed Anabel Christmas as director of its fast-growing East region. The chartered surveyor has joined from Redrow where she was head of land for the East Midlands. She previously held high-profile roles at JLL and Peveril Homes. She called the move “a great opportunity”.
Five appointments, Life Less Ordinary
Boutique developer Life Less Ordinary has created five significant new roles: James Cross comes from Persimmon to the role of head of technical; Paul Litherland arrives from Inland Homes as head of commercial; Ben Revel joins as assistant surveyor; Darren Breen is operations manager; and Danielle Chevannes is customer service manager.
Paul McAninch, Mactaggart & Mickel Group
Mactaggart & Mickel Group has appointed Paul McAninch as its new CEO. He steps into the role after seven years as group finance director and replaces Ed Monaghan. He has worked for the group for around 20 years, including most recently its finance director. He retains roles at Shawfair LLP, proptech business iOPT and the YFM Equity Partners Buy Out Fund I.
Kate Davies, Stonebond
Kate Davies, who is stepping down from the helm at Notting Hill Genesis (NHG), has announced her new role on the board of Chelmsford-based Stonebond. She began her career at NHG as part of legacy organisation Notting Hill Housing Trust in June 2004.Davies was awarded a CBE for services to housing earlier this year.
Patrick Franco, Notting Hill Genesis
Notting Hill Genesis has announced that Patrick Franco will take over the role of chief executive from Kate Davies in January 2023. He held several positions at Credit Suisse, including COO, and his most recent role was as chief operating officer and executive director at Foxtons. He is also the current vice-chair of the Global Heritage Fund.
Debi Marriott-Lavery, Magenta Living
The Wirral-based Magenta Living has appointed a former group director at Places for People as its new chief executive. She joined Places for People in 2014 and prior to that, she was managing director of community care services at charity Care UK. Before that chief operating officer of the Anchor Trust.
Nicky Parsons, Pegasus Group
Having been with the business for 10 years, Nicky Parsons has been named the first female deputy CEO at the growing planning and development consultancy Pegasus Group, which as a staff of over 400. She has spent her whole 28-year career in planning having graduated from the University of Westminster.
Gráinne Gilmore, Cluttons
Gráinne Gilmore has joined Cluttons as head of research to focus on delivering market insights and updates to clients. She has been writing and commenting on property for more than 20 years. Most recently, she was head of research for Zoopla and before that, head of UK residential research at Knight Frank for eight years, having joined from The Times.
Justin King, Dexters
Dexters has appointed Justin King CBE to be the new chairman of the group, working closely with CEO Andy Shepherd, He brings with him significant experience in large consumer-facing businesses for over three decades, serving in senior positions at major companies including Sainsbury’s, Marks & Spencer, Asda, Häagen-Dazs, PepsiCo, and Mars.
