Scottish housebuilder Cruden has reached an agreement to acquire the former Postings Shopping Centre site in Kirkcaldy, paving the way for the delivery of new affordable homes in the town.
Working in partnership with Kingdom Group, Cruden is bringing forward proposals to regenerate the brownfield site, which has remained vacant since the shopping centre was demolished in 2023.
The proposed development will deliver 135 affordable homes, including dedicated accommodation for people aged 55 and over. The plans feature a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments alongside traditionally inspired colony-style homes, aiming to create a diverse new residential community in a highly accessible town centre location.

Cruden has already undertaken a comprehensive programme of community engagement as part of the pre-application process, with feedback from local residents and stakeholders being used to shape the proposals ahead of the submission of a formal planning application.
Cruden and Kingdom intend to progress the development with the submission of a formal planning application later this year.
