We take our weekly look at some of the appointments and promotions across the housebuilding industry and its supply chain.
Martin Samworth, Dominvs Group
Dominvs Group has appointed Martin Samworth, former chairman and CEO of CBRE’s Advisory business in APAC and EMEA, as a non-executive director. He said: “The rate at which Dominvs is securing sites, forming partnerships and its deal-making capabilities, is a promising window into the company’s future as it grows its exposure to the living sectors.”
Bernard Rooney, Prospect Homes
Prospect Homes has welcomed a new chairperson to its board. Bernard Rooney takes up the role after retiring from housebuilder Barratt Homes after 42 years, working in several roles, most recently as regional managing director, a position he has held for 11 years. He will chair his first board meeting in August, taking over the position from Paul Newbold.
Craig Ireland, Bewley Homes
Bewley Homes has made a key appointment to the team with the arrival of Craig Ireland as technical director. He brings with him more than 20 years’ experience in the construction industry, beginning as a senior engineer with Countryside in 2005 before progressing to his most recent position as technical director with Inland Homes.
Graham Hutton, Baker Estates
Baker Estates has promoted Graham Hutton to the role of operations director. He was part of the original team when Baker Estates was set up in 2016, occupying the position of development director. He has wide experience having held national planning and technical responsibilities in the industry for 20 years.
Two appointments, Rangeford Villages
Rangeford Villages is continuing to expand its senior leadership team with two key new hires. New starters David Kanarens (most recently operations director for the Audley Group) and Chris Jackson (with a First Class honour for a BSc Hons in Planning and Property Development) will join as head of operations and senior land manager respectively.
Kayleigh Sylvester, Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward
Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward (KFH) has appointed Kayleigh Sylvester as its head of portfolio management, a newly created role which will oversee the company’s growing Build to Rent and corporate client portfolio. She previously started working at JLL in 2014, rising to an associate with four years’ experience in Build to Rent asset management.
Mark Goodeve-Docker, Chestertons
Chestertons has appointed Foxtons’ former area director of New Homes, Mark Goodeve-Docker, as its new head of residential developments. He started his career of 18 years at Foxtons as a negotiator and then valuer before moving over to the company’s New Homes department 14 years ago, leading to promotion to director and then area director.
Two appointments, NHBC
Niki Kyriacou and Andrew Milsom both join NHBC as customer relationship manager; Kyriacou, with almost 20 years’ experience, will lead on Build to Rent; while Milsom, with 14 years within the residential property industry including agencies Foxtons, Marsh & Parsons and Winkworth, will head-up integrated retirement communities and strategic land.
Ashley Perry, UKAA
The UK Apartment Association (UKAA) has appointed Ashley Perry as the new vice-chair of its Investor Lender Forum. He brings with him over a decade of experience, his previous role as investor director at Apache Capital since the start of 2022 preceded by five years as BTR director at Liv Consult.
Three appointments, Hampshire Trust Bank
Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB) has announced the appointment of three new lending directors within its Development Finance division. With over 70 years’ experience in property and finance between them, Colin Ness, Richard Payne and Pranav Jain are the latest recruits to the lender as it continues to expand in the property sector.
Andy Baines, VADO
Norcros PLC has appointed Andy Baines as managing director for VADO, succeeding Iain Gibson. Baines joins with an extensive career history of 26 years devoted to the bathroom industry, the last 13 of which were in his second spell at Kohler where he most recently held the position of general manager for Global Commercial Products, Kitchens, and Bath Group.
