We take our weekly look at some of the appointments and promotions across the housebuilding industry and its supply chain.
Two appointments, Elan Homes
Elan Homes supporting its expansion plans with two new appointments to its land team. John Brown has over 30 years of experience and as joined the housebuilder as land director for the Midlands division established last year, and he will work alongside the new land manager Conor Chamberlain, who previously worked for Spitfire Bespoke Homes.
Chyrel Brown, One Housing
One Housing has announced the appointment of Chyrel Brown to the role of chief operating officer, starting this July in a role covering key activities in property, housing and repairs. She will join in July. She is currently Hyde Housing Group’s director of resident services and has had previous roles at Circle Housing, L&Q and Asra Housing.
Jane Mackness, Bellway
Bellway South West has appointed Jane Mackness as part exchange manager, to be bsaed at the regional HQ in Bristol. She has a background in estate agency and new homes sales, and has previously held a sales advisor job for the housebuilder. Her property interest sees her currently a building near Bath into a large family home.
Azmon Rankohi, Rendall & Rittner
Residential property management company, Rendall & Rittner, has appointed Azmon Rankohi as its group head of legal. He said: “Rendall & Rittner appealed to me as it focuses on the end user and customer service is paramount.” His wealth of experience started as a junior solicitor then joining FirstPort, worked his way up from legal consultant to senior counsel.
Dominic Harman, David Wilson Homes
Dominic Harman is the new managing director of David Wilson Homes Mercia, following the planned retirement of John Fitzgerald. Harman started his career in housebuilding and construction almost 44 years ago as an apprentice carpenter, and has previously worked for David Wilson Homes East Midlands as a managing director in 1998.
Stuart Brooks, Peveril Homes
Derbyshire-based Peveril Homes has brought in Stuart Brooks as a sales manager. He has worked in the housebuilding industry for 10 years, with companies including Persimmon, Taylor Wimpey, Bloor and St Modwen. Director of sales and marketing, Alison Kendall said: “I have every confidence in Stuart’s ability to thrive in the role by making it his own.”
Carol Barlow, Jones Homes
Jones Homes Lancashire has a new sales director. Carol Barlow joins the housebuilder with more than 20 years of experience in sales, including 16 years in the new homes industry. She will be based at the divisional head office in Lytham St Anne’s, and will be leading the sales team through a period of expansion, including the first homes in Cumbria.
Heather Markham, Bellway
Heather Markham is a new face at Bellway, having brought 20 years’ experience in the industry to become the first divisional sales advisor for the Eastern Counties division. She currently works at Bower Place in Cottenham. “It’s amazing to be on board as part of the team for such a reputable housebuilder,” she said.
Ten appointments, Anwyl Homes
There are 10 new employees at Anwyl Homes’ Chorley head office for its technical, commercial, construction and sales and marketing teams. The new team members are Daniel Newton, Dean Trainor, Phoebe Davies, Stephen Penman, Mitch Andrews, Tom Grundy, John Grime, Tony Diprose, Ian McCann, Matt Gould, Roman Bullock and Anna Cross.
Rebecca Payne, David Wilson Homes
Rebecca Payne recently joined David Wilson Homes South Midlands as marketing co-ordinator. She is 22-years-old and graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a degree in Psychology, before beginning her employment at Oxford University Press as a customer service representative. She said: “I wanted to pursue my creative side. Everyone I’ve met has been so welcoming.”
Dan Bolton, Jones Homes
Dan Bolton has been recruited as divisional land director for Jones Homes’ Lancashire division. He is a chartered town planner and previously worked for commercial property consultants Lambert Smith Hampton, where one of his duties was selling land to housing developers. “This was a rare opportunity to join a privately-owned housebuilder with a 60-year heritage,” he said.
