Marking a milestone at its first development in Edinburgh, Sanctuary Scotland has celebrated the completion of 100 new affordable homes at The Crossings in South Queensferry.
Supported by grant funding from the Scottish government and delivered in partnership with Lovell Partnerships, the homes at Builyeon Road comprise 64 two-bedroom flats, 16 two-bedroom houses and 20 three-bedroom houses, and form part of a wider 398-home masterplan.
All 100 properties achieve an EPC B rating, feature photovoltaic panels and have been built using an offsite-manufactured timber-framed system made with sustainably sourced materials.
Gillian Lavety, development director for Sanctuary Scotland, said: “These high-quality homes fitted with energy-saving products will provide much-needed affordable housing for people and families in South Queensferry, while helping to create a sustainable and well-connected new community.
“We are proud to have worked with Lovell to deliver these homes and look forward to continuing to grow Sanctuary Scotland’s presence in the East of Scotland.”
The milestone was marked last week with a visit to The Crossings from representatives of Sanctuary Scotland and Lovell, alongside members of the Queensferry & District Community Council, who toured the development and met residents in their new homes.
