New geo-location property app launches

A new property search platform has launched across the UK, aiming to transform how buyers discover homes while helping estate agents cut costs by an average of £18,000 a year compared to traditional portals.

The Property DriveBuy app moves away from the criteria-based search model used by other platforms by providing a fully geo-located, real-time property discovery tool. It enables buyers to see available homes for sale as they physically pass them, alerting them instantly with photos, floor plans, and video tours on their device.

Rather than requiring buyers to manually enter location and price filters, which can sometimes limit results, the Property DriveBuy app automatically surfaces relevant properties that potential buyers might never have considered.

The Property DriveBuy also offers benefits for agents. While other platforms work on a subscription fee method, Property DriveBuy offers a free-to-list alternative, which it says can cut costs by an average of £18,000 a year. The new platform also integrates with existing CRM software such as Reapit, Loop, Street and Alto, allowing agents to seamlessly add their inventory and reach more buyers without incurring additional costs.

The company’s board includes high-profile names such as a former White House chief of staff, a former Conservative Party chairman and housing minister, and well-known industry veteran, Iain McKenzie.

An international roll-out is already planned following the UK launch.

Steve Foreman, founder and CEO of The Property DriveBuy, commented: “The property search process hasn’t meaningfully changed in two decades, and yet both buyers and agents are paying the price in missed opportunities and excessive fees.”

“The Property DriveBuy puts discovery back into the hands of the buyer, while giving agents a cost-free way to get their listings in front of more people. Our vision is simple – to make property search proactive, not passive, and to deliver better results for everyone involved.”
