Richard Foweraker, NHBC
NHBC, has appointed Richard Foweraker as regional director to lead customer relations with housebuilders in the South East of England.
He has worked at NHBC for 22 years. Having joined as a building inspector, his career has progressed through a variety of roles including senior claims investigator, area claims manager and, most recently, claims repair and supplier manager.
Foweraker initially trained as a bricklayer, rising to the position of site manager prior to joining NHBC. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Building and the Chartered Association of Building Engineers.
Foweraker said: “Having worked for NHBC for more than two decades, I’m excited for this new chapter in my career. I’m looking forward to getting to know our customers in the South East, further strengthening our relationships, and championing high-quality homes.”
Cassandra Codling, NHBC senior regional director, commented: “It’s a key appointment within the team at a time of ambitious government housing targets and huge demand for new homes.
Karen Hirst, Mayoral Development Corporation
Having left Maple Grove Developments in October after 10 years’ service, Karen Hirst has been selected by Trafford Council and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority to work alongside Lord Sebastian Coe to lead a regeneration initiative that will delivery around 15,000 new homes.
She worked for more than five years at Salford City Council and held a senior role in the Central Salford Urban Regeneration Company.
Coe is the chair of the Mayoral Development Corporation, which was set up to facilitate the scheme. Hirst will work within the MDC alongside council staff and with landowners including Manchester United FC and Freightliner.
Hirst said: “I am excited to be taking on this new role and I am looking forward to working with Lord Coe, the teams at GMCA, Trafford Council, Manchester United FC and other key partners, stakeholders and local residents.
Lord Coe said: “[Karen’s] wealth of experience coupled with her passion and enthusiasm for this transformation are a powerful combination.”
Russell Davis, Secure Trust Bank
Secure Trust Bank (STB) has welcomed Russell Davis as senior relationship director to its real estate finance team.
He brings with him over 20 years of banking experience, including roles within retail, commercial and real estate finance. While working as a business development manager at a major high street bank, he earned the qualifications to become a chartered banker. The accreditation by the third-party Chartered Banker Institute recognised his deep knowledge of the sector.
Davis’s most recent role was within another specialist bank’s real estate finance team, nurturing and expanding client relationships, delivering loans of up to £40million.
He said: “I am excited to be joining Secure Trust Bank as it continues to expand the proposition within the real estate finance sector. Having over two decades’ worth of experience in banking, I am confident that my experience to date will help to contribute to Secure Trust Bank’s continued growth.”
Keith Scott, FirstPort
The FirstPort Group has appointed Keith Scott to lead its health and safety strategy as safety assurance director.
He brings with him extensive experience from senior health and safety roles spanning multiple industries, including property, consultancy, and financial services. He previously served as director of resident safety at Camden Council in the aftermath of the Grenfell tragedy, where he focused on engaging residents and coordinating Camden’s long-term strategy to ensure the safety of its property portfolio. He also played a key role in shaping the national building safety agenda.
Speaking about his appointment, Scott said: “I am delighted to have joined FirstPort at such a pivotal time. Building safety remains the business’ highest priority, and I’ve joined an organisation with strong core principles and a dedicated team that is focused on keeping customers safe.”
