We take our weekly look at appointments and promotions across the housebuilding industry and its supply chain.
Penny Langton, Cityheart
Cityheart, the developer behind Stopford Park, Stockport’s newest residential neighbourhood, has appointed Penny Langton in the brand new role of marketing director.
Langton joins the business with over 25 years’ marketing experience, having previously worked for companies including Morris Homes and Beaverbrooks. She was most recently with Vita Group, where she led the businesses residential marketing which included the launch of the group’s new co-living brand, Union.
Commenting on joining Cityheart, Langton said: “I’ve joined the Cityheart team at an exciting time. The projects we’re now delivering, such as Stopford Park, are place defining, creating lasting value for communities and I’m really proud to be part of that.”

Karen Archer, BlueCastle Capital
Build-to-rent developer and investment and asset manager BlueCastle Capital has appointed real estate operational specialist Karen Archer to the role of chief financial and operating officer.
A qualified accountant, she joins the company with more than two decades of senior leadership experience in real estate investment management, most recently serving as global chief operating officer, global real estate, at Schroders Capital. A wealth of expertise across financial strategy, operational transformation, regulatory oversight and global fund structures includes senior positions within JP Morgan’s global real assets team and AIG’s European real estate fund management team.
Ed Williams, CEO of BlueCastle Capital, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Karen to BlueCastle. Her proven track record in driving operational change, combined with deep financial and regulatory acumen, makes her an exceptional addition to our leadership team.”

Graham Chivers, Chartway Partnerships Group
Chartway Partnerships Group has appointed Graham Chivers as its new chief executive officer.
He joined Chartway in early 2024 as chief financial officer and brings a strong track record of leadership in the housebuilding sector, with previous roles including those at Berkeley Group and Crest Nicholson.
Chivers commented: “I’m excited to be stepping into the CEO role and working with our talented team and trusted partners to deliver on that purpose. Everyone deserves a safe, secure place to call home, and I look forward to leading Chartway to achieve that goal across the South East.”

Three appointments, Keepmoat
Keepmoat has made three senior appointments at its North West office, located in Speke.
Simon Ward (picture right)joins as director of construction, bringing 10 years of experience in senior construction roles at the likes of Bellway Homes and Equans P&C. He will lead the construction team and help deliver the business plan across the North West region, including Merseyside, Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire, Staffordshire and North Wales.
Ward said: “I am thrilled to join the Keepmoat team and I’m excited to begin leading the fantastic department across construction, safety and new build delivery, continuing the five-star customer satisfaction rate. “
Meanwhile, Steve Green (pictured left) and Dave Nunes have been appointed as contract managers to manage site teams, contractors, and developments, ensuring high quality and compliance.

Alanna Mahoney, Richborough
Richborough has announced the promotion of Alanna Mahoney to the role of senior land and planning manager for its South West region.
She joined Richborough in 2020 and has been instrumental in shaping the company’s regional portfolio, and strengthening relationships with local stakeholders.
Commenting on her new role, Mahoney said: “I’m incredibly proud to continue growing our South West region and to take this next step with a business I’ve been part of for five years. It’s been an exciting journey to watch the company grow, evolve, and push new boundaries. With the support of our fantastic internal team, I’m excited to help deliver more thoughtfully designed, build-ready masterplans creating high-quality homes and mixed-use developments while maximising value for landowners and stakeholders.”

Two appointments, Muse
Muse has welcomed two new members to its Yorkshire and North East team, based in Leeds, in order to support a growing pipeline of major regeneration projects in the region.
James Dinsley joins as development manager. His strong background in development and investment includes roles at Rushbond Group and Avison Young. He has worked across several mixed-use schemes and also has extensive experience in land agency, planning and development consultancy.
Daniel Leach comes in as project manager, joining from Gardiner and Theobald, where he led the delivery of a number of high-profile schemes across the residential, arts, heritage, and commercial sectors. With over nine years’ experience in the industry, he has successfully overseen complex, multi-million-pound developments from pre-construction through to completion.
Simon Dew, Muse’s development director, said: “Their combined experience in both the public and private sectors will be instrumental as we continue to grow our presence and deliver transformational places in partnership with local authorities and communities.”
John O’Dwyer, Powerday
Waste management and recycling business Powerday has announced the appointment of John O’Dwyer as associate director – environmental sustainability.
He is a chartered sustainability expert and a full member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA). A highly experienced environmental management professional with a strong background in the housebuilding sector, O’Dwyer brings over 18 years of cross-sector experience within the built environment to his new role. Previous roles include those at Vinci, McGee and Murphy Group, and most recently, three years as head of sustainability at Telford Homes.

Sebastian Wallis, Newmark
Development consultancy Newmark has hired Sebastian Wallis as a senior leader in its Valuation team in the UK.
He brings with him more than 25 years of experience in the UK property industry, advising UK and international banks, landowners, developers, housebuilders and family offices. He has worked across the full spectrum of residential product types, including Build to Rent, co-living, super-prime and multi-phase residential and mixed-use developments.
Wallis joins Newmark from leading CBRE’s London Residential Valuation team. Earlier in his career, he was a partner at Knight Frank, where he led the firm’s London Residential Development Valuation team for more than a decade.
He said: “Joining Newmark presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing, ambitious platform that values precision, insight and long-term client relationship. I’m looking forward to helping strengthen the firm’s presence in the UK residential market and collaborating with clients on their most high-profile and complex valuation needs.”
