LAUFEN, the sanitaryware specialist, has launched a new generation of its best-selling PRO collection, which offers new designs alongside simpler installation.
PRO X has been developed with designer Peter Wirz and his Vetica design studio, continuing a 25-year partnership with LAUFEN. The collection pairs refined ceramic washbasins with a WC range that is rimless throughout and built around SilentFlush 2.0. PRO X also benefits from the new EasyFit 3.0, a top-mounting toilet fixing system that turns wall-hung WC installation into a one-person job on-site.
SilentFlush 2.0 removes the need for a visible rim on WCs, using the specially-shaped interior of the bowl to guide water along an optimised spiral path, ensuring that the flush is powerful and precise yet quiet. It produces less airborne and structure-borne noise, meeting some of the most stringent sound-insulation standards in the industry, including SIA 181 and DIN 4109.
In addition, the water inlet is formed entirely from LAUFEN’s own ceramic rather than plastic, which removes the plastic flushing aids found in many toilets, along with the hard-to-clean gaps between plastic and ceramic.
Working with LAUFEN’s engineers, Peter Wirz refined the geometry of the previous PRO S basin with smaller radiuses and straighter lines, softly rounded corners for comfortable everyday use and a generous, deep washing area.
Washbasins span from a 450mm-wide small basin to a 1200mm double, all available with or without tap holes. There are also compact versions designed for shallower spaces, with a projection of just 380mm, as opposed to the standard 465mm, making them suitable for ensuites or cloakrooms.
PRO X has been developed alongside LAUFEN’s BASE 2.0 and JUNA furniture, so the pieces work together as a whole. Both ranges use FSC-certified wood-based components and full-extension drawers with integrated recessed handles and removable drawer organisers. The collection is available in 43 multicolour options in total, including wood tones and metallic shades.
