Multiple appointments, Miller Homes
Miller Homes has brought in new leadership and five senior promotions with the creation of its new South Midlands region. Ben Massey is managing director; Gavin Jones, regional operations director; Jake Richardson, technical manager; Tom Roberts, area land director; Lewis Brown, regional land director; Mike Little, commercial director.
Three appointments, Casa by Moda
Single-family homes platform Casa by Moda has announced three new hires. Matthew Townson (pictured) joins as director of development and projects, bringing with him over 30 years of industry experience. Peter Crabbe has been welcomed as a technical manager and Tim Mather as a senior land manager.
David Lewis, This Land
This Land™ has promoted its acting chief executive David Lewis to CEO. With a wealth of experience in delivering complex developments and managing large teams, he joined the company in 2019 as strategic land director and has been acting chief executive. He said: “I am delighted to be confirmed as CEO.”
Jon Di-Stefano, Greencore Construction
Former Telford Homes chief Jon Di-Stefano has been appointed chief executive of Greencore Construction. He said: “Greencore is breaking new ground in delivering low carbon, low energy housing, and the current energy crisis only serves to emphasise the need to build homes that use less energy and are fit for the 21st century.”
Steve Baughen, Fernham Homes
Fernham Homes has appointed Steve Baughen in a newly created role of head of planning. He was formerly head of planning at Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, recently overseeing the development of the new Local Plan for Tunbridge Wells. He has worked in local authorities in Kent for 16 years and for a national planning consultancy for four years.
Eilidh Imrie, Living by Robertson
Living by Robertson has recently strengthened its land buying team with the appointment of land specialist Eilidh Imrie. She previously worked at Keepmoat Homes and before that with construction recruitment company Contract Scotland. She also volunteered as a construction worker with the charity Habitat for Humanity International.
Multiple appointments, Jones Homes
The latest recruitment drive has seen a number of new sales advisors join the Jones Homes North West team under regional sales director Simon Whalley, following the internal promotion of Sarah Jones to office manager. The five new sales advisors are Nicola Colangelo, Lauren Brown, Chris Tomes, Claire Riley, and Julie Roberts.
Multiple appointments, Barratt Developments
With the launch of its Sheffield division, Barratt Developments has already employed six board members, including Gary Chambers (managing director); Steve Sharp (construction director); David Hodgkinson (commercial director); Dave Hudson (technical director); Stewart Thomson (development director); and Stacey Berkeley (sales director).
James Heyworth, Adlington Retirement Living
Adlington Retirement Living has announced the appointment of James Heyworth as land director. He joins the business with more than 27 years’ experience in the development sector, having led land acquisition for prominent projects in the North West including The Hacienda, 1 Deansgate and Alderley Park.
Steve Ashton, Places for People
Places for People has announced that it has appointed Steve Ashton as its first ever group partnerships director. He has over 20 years’ experience of partner management in regulated sectors. He has been head of partnership at MBNA/Bank of America, then chief partnerships officer at HomeServe UK.
Nicky Partridge, Carter Jonas
Carter Jonas has appointed Nicky Partridge to the position of head of Yorkshire New Homes. She joins from Sequence, where she was New Homes area manager, and said: “Through my 17 years’ experience of pricing, marketing and selling homes, I’ve found proven strategies for both consumers and developers, ensuring best prices are found for all home units.”
Jessica Hardman, British Property Federation
Jessica Hardman, head of European Real Estate Portfolio Management and head of UK Real Estate Group at DWS Group, has been announced as the new junior vice president at the British Property Federation (BPF), working with president Guy Grainger and vice president Mark Allan. She has over 21 years of experience in real estate.
Jennifer Longstaff, Church Commissioners for England
The Church Commissioners for England have appointed Jennifer Longstaff, formerly associate director of Savills’ Newcastle office, as strategic land and affordable housing asset manager. She is a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and has over 15 years’ experience in project development and securing planning permissions.
Chris Browne, GBuilder
The former new homes director of Zoopla Property Group, Chris Browne has joined the Finnish ConTech company GBuilder. He has some 40 years’ experience in residential sales and new homes, gained from working with UK housebuilders direct, residential agency and advisory roles into the proptech industry.
Kay Sangha, HARNESS Data Intelligence
Proptech firm HARNESS Data Intelligence has appointed Kay Sangha as its new chief financial officer. She comes with over 25 years of financial and operational leadership experience, previously having the role of CFO at Century Capital Partners, a UK lender in the prime property sector.
Three appointments, Ringley Group
VirginLand by Ringley, the off-market site-finding platform of asset manager Ringley Group, has made three senior hires. Steve Norman is the new planning director, Charlie Youngs has been appointed land director, and Oliver Wahlgren is the company’s new head of operations. The trio bring combined real estate experience of almost 50 years.
Neal Moy, Paragon Bank
Paragon Bank’s Development Finance business has announced the promotion of Neal Moy to managing director. His 30 years in property include roles at RBS, Lloyds and Deutsche Postbank and he was the founder and managing director of the RateSetter Development Finance business before it was acquired by Shawbrook Bank in 2021.
