Rollalong has been awarded a contract by Wates Residential and Havering Council to supply temporary modular homes to a site in Romford.
The innovative housing solution provider will handle the manufacture and installation of 18 homes on the Waterloo and Queen Street site, which were granted planning permission in May this year. The homes will provide safe living spaces for families currently in temporary accommodation.
The homes have been designed to be easily relocated, making them an ideal solution for temporary housing requirements as the Wates Residential Council 12 Estates regeneration develops. They will feature modern amenities and energy-efficient designs, ensuring that residents have access to comfortable and environmentally-friendly living conditions.
Councillor Ray Morgon, leader of Havering Council, said: “This contract underscores our commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable and efficient temporary housing solutions to meet the urgent needs of our homeless families and helping to reduce our dependency and the significant costs on hotel and hostel accommodation.”
