Persimmon Homes North Scotland has announced the launch of a partnership with North East Scotland College (NESCol) to help train future construction professionals as the company strengthens its presence in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
The partnership will enable local apprentices to combine practical experience on Persimmon Homes developments with college-based learning at NESCol’s Aberdeen Altens Campus.
Persimmon is currently building new homes at developments in Newmachar and Blackdog, with proposals also being made for aanother new development in Bridge of Don.
The move comes after the housebuilder’s recent donation of over 4,000 bricks to NESCol. Manufactured at the company’s factory in Doncaster, the bricks had been used by students who took an end-of-year skills tests.
The partnership with NESCol is Persimmon’s 16th college partnership within Scotland.
