NHBC launches biggest-ever trainee recruitment drive

NHBC has launched its biggest ever nationwide entry-level recruitment drive, offering 30 new trainee roles available around the UK.

These new pathways into the business are permanent job opportunities for people from all backgrounds who have ambitions for a rewarding career in the housebuilding industry. This initiative is part of NHBC’s commitment to addressing the industry’s skills shortage and supporting the government’s pledge to build 1.5 million new homes by the end of this parliament.

The roles available through the scheme include trainee building inspector, trainee building surveyor, trainee construction quality analyst and trainee technical building consultant. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to build a long and rewarding career in construction, supported by NHBC’s structured training and expert mentoring. Professional accreditation and formal qualifications including BSc (Hons) can also be attained, dependent on the role.

Craig Pocock, chief people officer at NHBC, commented: “We’re pleased to be able to offer a great range of trainee positions around the UK for those looking to enter the construction industry. House building is a busy and exciting part of the construction sector, with a huge number of opportunities to progress. I encourage anyone with an interest in building to consider applying – NHBC is a modern, progressive company with a diverse mix of people making up the business.”
