We take our weekly look at some of the appointments and promotions across the housebuilding industry and its supply chain.

Patrycja Allan, Persimmon Homes

Patrycja Allan, Persimmon HomesPatrycja Allan has been appointed to the role of land manager at Persimmon West Scotland. She has previously worked for Stewart Milne Homes as a land manager and with several land consultants across Scotland. She commented: “I’m keen to play my part in ensuring the business goes from strength to strength.”

 

Paul Brown, Yorkshire Country Properties

Paul Brown, Yorkshire Country PropertiesHuddersfield-based Yorkshire Country Properties has appointed an experienced residential property developer as its new managing director. Paul Brown was formerly the founder and MD of Caedmon Homes and has more than 35 years’ experience in the residential and commercial property sectors in Yorkshire and the North East.

 

Adele Hemming, Baker Estates

Adele Hemming, Baker EstatesBaker Estates has appointed Adele Hemming to the role of marketing manager. With over a decade of experience in the property industry, her previous role was new homes marketing manager at Midlands-based estate agents smarthomes, a top-rated. Prior to that, she worked at Shebang Design and Marketing as well as several developers.

 

Chris Higgins, Dandara

Chris Higgins, DandaraDandara has promoted Chris Higgins to the role of managing director for land and partnerships. He joined the company in 2012 and has spent the past six years as land director for its Northern Home Counties region. He said: “I’m greatly looking forward to working with all our regional business units.”

 

Sarah Cooper, Piper Homes

Sarah Cooper, Piper HomesSarah Cooper has been appointed chief financial officer to drive the strategic growth in both Piper Homes and Piper Living. She has extensive experience across the residential housing, retail and manufacturing sectors including FD for Kier Living and her previous position of divisional finance director for Countryside Partnerships.

 

Alex Lawson, Barratt Developments

Alex Lawson, Barratt DevelopmentsBarratt Developments North East has welcomed a new head of commercial. With a first class honours degree in Quantity Surveying, 29-year-old Alex Lawson’s career journey includes a breadth of experience, starting in housebuilding in 2016 with subsequent roles at Story Homes and Keepmoat Homes.

 

Three appointments, This Land

Dominic Bryant, Ross Mowle, Ollie Leck, This LandThis Land has made three internal promotions at senior level. Moving into the role of senior strategic land manager is Dominic Bryant; Ross Mowle has been named the new senior development manager; and Ollie Leck has risen from management accountant to the role of financial controller.

 

Ben Felton, Avant Homes

Ben Felton, Avant HomesAvant Homes East Midlands has appointed a new managing director. Previously an MD for Persimmon Homes, Ben Felton has 16 years’ experience in the housebuilding industry. Of his new appointment he said: “Avant Homes is an ambitious company and one which I am very pleased to have joined.”

 

Stephen Rickersey, Fisher & Paykel

Stephen Rickersey, Fisher & PaykelFisher & Paykel has appointed Stephen Rickersey as its chief operating officer for the UK, Ireland and Europe. He joins from Miele, where he was sales director. Prior to that, he worked at Whirlpool Corporation as head of sales – together amounting to 17 years of consumer goods experience in customer and category management.

 

Multiple appointments, Andrew Henry Interiors

Dianna Colwell, Natasha Townsend, Andrew Henry InteriorsAndrew Henry Interiors has announced four new appointments. Alex Cole comes in as operations and logistics manager; Kurtis Rees as assistant warehouse manager; and Dianna Colwell and Natasha Townsend (both pictured) as interior designers. Sister company Thread and Dandy was welcomed Jacqui Cartwright as its administrator.

 

Multiple appointments, Beattie Passive

James Little, Beattie PassivePassivhaus and modular specialist Beattie Passive has made some appointments. James Little (pictured), formerly of Elements Europe, Barratt London and Berkeley Group, has joined as project manager; Natalie Higgs has come on board as the new HR manager; and Dan Sanders has joined the company to assist on modular projects.

 

Tom Grey, Cortland Consult 

Tom Grey, Cortland Consult Tom Grey has been appointed by Cortland Consult as its director of BTR consultancy (UK). He brings with him a wealth of experience: Beginning his BTR journey in 2013, he has been in the CRE sector since 2006, and prior to that he spent five years in the residential lettings sector. He joins from David Phillips, where he spent three-and-a-half years as BTR director.

 

Janice Russell, Homes for Scotland

Janice Russell, Homes for ScotlandJanice Russell, the new MD of construction group McTaggart, has been appointed to Homes for Scotland. The chartered surveyor and project manager (MRICS) has been with the family-owned firm for 13 years and has more than 30 years’ experience within property and construction, specialising in housing, including spells at Cruden Homes and CCG.

 

Two appointments, Pinnacle Affordable Homes

Pinnacle Affordable Homes logoPinnacle Affordable Homes has appointed two new independent non-executive directors, Gerri Scott and Dominic Grace, to its board. Each has more than three decades’ experience in the sector. Scott has spent the last three years as executive director of customer service at L&Q, while Grace joins the board after an illustrious 37-year career at Savills.
