Tracy Iles, Lovell
Tracy Iles has joined Lovell’s North East region as its new sales and marketing manager, bringing with her more than 20 years’ new homes and construction experience. She has previously worked for four national housebuilders, working her way up from field sales manager to senior sales manager, before becoming sales director.
Two appointments, Reside Developments
Reside Developments has promoted two of its youngest team members, Fay Goodson and Luke Bargman to planning manager and land manager respectively. Joint MD Richard West commented: “Fay and Luke have developed their skill sets and communications enormously since they’ve been part of the Reside team.”
Gavin Houghton, Allison Homes
Allison Homes Eastern Counties has promoted its technical manager to head of technical. Gavin Houghton, 37, joined the company in 2020. His career began at an engineering consultancy, where he worked up from a CAD technician to senior engineer over 11 years. He then worked for Hopkins Homes for five years, progressing to head of technical.
Keith Miller, Cavanna Homes
The Cavanna Group of companies has announced the appointment of Keith Miller as group chairman, replacing Jeremy Cavanna who becomes a non-executive director. Miller joined the company in 2017 as group managing director of Cavanna Homes, transferred to the role of deputy chairman on the appointment of Grayham Tucker in January this year.
Ben Massey, Miller Homes
Ben Massey has been promoted to divisional managing director for Miller Homes, leading regional offices in East Midlands, South Midlands, and Yorkshire. He joined Miller Homes in 2001 after completing his degree in residential development at Nottingham Trent University, since then progressing to land director and regional MD.
Multiple appointments, Cala Homes
Cala Homes (Cotswolds) has announced the appointment of Charles Rafferty as land director, with over 10 years of land and planning experience in the housebuilding sector, most recently as land director at Redrow Homes. Sam Taylor is promoted to area land director, Becky Pull as senior planner and Luke Alexander as land buyer.
Louise Buckton, Gentoo
Gentoo has welcomed Louise Buckton as its new construction director. She joins the group after three years at Equans, where she was new build director. She has worked in the industry for 26 years and brings a wealth of knowledge in housing and construction, previously working for Beyond Housing, Kier and Esh Construction.
Two appointments, SAV Group
Charles Banner KC, a leading barrister and RICS Standards and Regulations Board member, joins the SAV Group as non-executive director. As the company’s Build to Rent expertise grows, Christopher Lockhart-Mummery KC joins as business advisor. He is a former Deputy High Court Judge with a career spanning 50 years.
Martin Bates, Rangeford Villages
Rangeford Villages has appointed Martin Bates as a senior development manager. With over 25 years of experience in the construction industry, he has previously held positions including a decade as a main board director at Broadway Malyan, as well as helmed the development of several large residential-led mixed-used schemes in London.
Paul Challinor, Lovell
Lovell North West has welcomed Paul Challinor as its new managing director. He joins from Stewart Milne where he also held the position of regional managing director for the North West after joining as the business’ finance director in 2015. Prior to that, Paul held positions at Morris Homes, MyTravel and Thomas Cook Plc.
Justin Young, RICS
The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has appointed Justin Young as its new chief executive. He began his career in the army, commanding a tank troop in Operation Desert Storm in the 1990s. He has subsequently spent nearly 30 years in the corporate world, in marketing and management roles, most recently as COO of Knight Frank.
