Metsä Wood, part of Metsä Group, has set out plans to continue its growth in the UK, focusing on creating stronger customer partnerships, continued UK manufacturing capability, product development and improved service.
The wood product engineering company recently made significant investments in a state-of-the-art ERP system, allowing it to move forward with a growth strategy focused on building a balanced and resilient customer base through reliable supply, competitive solutions and long-term customer partnerships.
The company’s established manufacturing sites in Boston and King’s Lynn, supported by the wider Metsä Group supply network, provide a platform for ongoing service of UK customers with softwood and engineered wood products.
Metsä Wood says that its recent investment in UK operations, including a new production line for door linings and casings, demonstrates its long-term commitment to the UK market and supports its growth ambitions. The investment allows the company to improve efficiency, product quality, availability and customer choice, while strengthening the company’s manufacturing capability and ability to serve customers across the UK.

The UK business gains synergies from the wider Metsä Group, including access to responsibly sourced Nordic wood, production expertise and a reliable European supply network.
