We take our weekly look at appointments and promotions across the housebuilding industry and its supply chain.
Amy Wright, Harron Homes

Harron Homes has appointed former New Homes Quality Board (NHQB) operations director Amy Wright to the newly created role of group customer experience director.
Wright brings more than a decade of customer care and consumer standards, including previous service at Harron Homes as customer service manager from 2017 to 2019. She went on to establish a group customer relations function across nine regional offices at another housebuilder. In 2024, she joined NHQB as operations director, leaving to establish her own consultancy.
Wright said: “The business has changed enormously since I was last here, but the quality of the homes and the warmth of the people remain. There is a real appetite to keep improving, and I’m proud to be leading that work.”
James Poynor, group managing director at Harron Homes, said: “We are excited about the next stage of Harron’s development and ensuring we provide an optimal experience to every customer, and Amy’s appointment is a testament to this new step on our journey.”
Joe Menna, Breck Homes

Joe Menna has been appointed lead of land for the Central region of Breck Homes as part of the company’s growth of its affordable homes pipeline across the Midlands and wider Central England region.
With a Postgraduate Diploma in Surveying and Real Estate from the University of the Built Environment, Menna brings over 15 years of experience in the Midlands property industry, including around 12 years in land buying and partnerships roles for affordable housing developers. His most recent role was senior land manager at Vistry Group.
Andy Garnett, CEO of Breck Homes, said of Menna: “He brings extensive experience of the region’s key development sites and affordable housing industry and he shares Breck’s ethos of growth through true partnership working.”
Menna added: “Breck has established itself as one of the most exciting and fastest-growing affordable housing developers in the North, so the opportunity to play a leading role in accelerating its Midlands growth is a particularly exciting one.”
Angus Michie, Stonewater

Angus Michie has officially started his tenure as chair of Stonewater, succeeding Sheila Collins who held the position for seven years.
Michie is a qualified chartered surveyor with 30 years’ experience in the residential development industry and has previously served on Stonewater’s board as chair of Homes and Development Challenge and Assurance Panel, chair of Stonewater Developments Limited and chair of Stonewater Commercial Limited.
His career has included 25 years with the Berkeley Group’s operational businesses across the UK and he is also MD of SevenCapital.
Michie said: “I’m excited to be stepping into the role during a truly transformative period for Stonewater, helping drive forward our Vision to be the most trusted, inspiring and sustainable provider of affordable homes.”
Stonewater’s chief executive, Jonathan Layzell, added: “With Angus taking up his role as Stonewater’s new Chair, I’m confident his experience, expertise and passion will help us continue to build on our success and the strong legacy Sheila created.”
Three appointments, Chestnut Homes

Marilyn Inglis, Donna Skate and Karen Carpenter have all joined Chestnut Homes, based at various developments within the county.
Inglis (pictured left) welcomes property-seekers to Heron Park in Wyberton and said: “Chestnut Homes is a fantastic employer; everyone has been very welcoming and I’m looking forward to helping more people find their ideal home at Heron Park.”
Skate (pictured centre) works at The Meadows in Dunholme, having previously worked for solicitors and other housebuilders.
She said: “The most enjoyable part of my job is meeting new people and handing our homes over to excited customers. Helping someone find their dream home is incredibly rewarding.”
Carpenter (picture right) is the newest edition to the team and will be based at Chestnut Homes’ upcoming Manor Farm development in Bardney.
She said: “I first started working as a new homes sales executive in 1985, after spending time as an estate agent, and quickly realised I’d found my calling.”
Two appointments, Homes for Scotland

Homes for Scotland (HFS) has made two senior promotions within its executive team: David Petrie has taken up the position of senior external affairs manager; and David Raine has become head of policy development.
HFS chief executive, Jane Wood, said: “As the housing emergency continues and the home building sector faces significant regulatory and delivery challenges, these promotions recognise the valuable contributions David Raine and David Petrie make to HFS through their insight, expertise and commitment.”
Petrie (pictured left) commented: “With a new intake of MSPs and local authority elections taking place next year, there are significant opportunities to strengthen relationships across the political landscape. I look forward to building on our existing work to ensure our members’ voices are heard clearly and consistently by our wide-ranging stakeholders.”
Raine added: “With the latest housing starts and completions figures confirming a third consecutive year of decline in starts, there are fundamental challenges to overcome if Scotland is to exit from the housing emergency.”
