Edenstone is partnering with VELUX to develop designs across its range of homes including incorporating roof windows at the top of the stairs on some of its house types. This provides natural light flow through the top and intermediate floor levels to achieve a brighter and more inviting space that also acts as natural ventilation, creating a ‘passive stack effect.’ This allows hot air to be drawn out of the building and be replaced by cooler air from lower levels of the home to maintain a healthy comfortable temperature without the need for mechanical ventilation systems.
