City & Country has announced its year-end results which saw an increase in build unit delivery by 91% over the previous year with a group record build delivery of 237 units.
The company also recorded its best ever a group sales target with 176 new sales for the period. The developer is on course to deliver an uplift in units for 2024 despite the market conditions remaining challenging across the industry.
In September 2023, following the appointment of Wayne Douglas as Managing Director, City & Country set out a five-year plan to increase the number of specialist restoration and new homes it delivers with the objective of tripling its output.
Despite the macro-economic challenges, City & Country announced three more land acquisitions this financial year, including the prestigious Bath Press and a strategic land site in Stansted Mountfitchet where the group is based.

The results published today mark a significant step forward for our business as we continue to make further improvements in the coming year(s) in line with our five-year growth plan.”
Michael Burt, head of sales, added: “It has been a very difficult market with the turbulent mortgage rates and lack of buyer confidence, but over the past year we have implemented several changes to ensure the pillars are in place to help us achieve our five-year plan. Although we cannot control outside factors regarding the property market, we can ensure that we are working collaboratively as departments to make sure we are adhering to our 5P’s and maximising our ability to excel these records next year.”
City & Country specialises in the restoration and conversion of historic and listed buildings as well as new build, with sites across Essex, West Sussex, Wiltshire, London, Edinburgh, Bristol, and Dorset.
