St William, part of the Berkeley Group, has marked a key milestone at its King’s Road Park development, with the topping out of The Charlton.
The ceremony saw representatives from St William gathered to mark the completion of the eleven-storey concrete frame, representing a significant step forward in the South West London development.
Due for completion in early 2027, The Charlton will provide 98 high-end homes, including suites and one to four-bedroom apartments. Comprising spacious private balconies, selected homes will offer far-reaching views across London as well as views over the development’s centerpiece park. The Grade II Listed gasholder will be carefully converted into a public landscaped space.
At the centre of Kings’ Road Park is The Atrium, a bespoke members club for residents offering 25,000 sq ft of lifestyle and leisure facilities, including a 25-metre swimming pool, sauna and steam room as well as a gym, fitness studios, golf simulator, two cinema rooms, a treatment room and residents’ lounge.
The King’s Road Park scheme saw the heritage development specialists transform a former gasworks site into a highly sustainable community, which occupies a prime position close to the River Thames and King’s Road in Chelsea, while also offering extensive green space for residents.
Craig Miles, managing director of St James & St William, commented: “The topping out of The Charlton marks a significant milestone in the progression of King’s Road Park, representing a major step forward in the creation of a vibrant, luxurious, and exclusive new community in the heart of Fulham. I am immensely proud of the dedication and expertise shown by our team, and I look forward to seeing this exceptional development continue to deliver quality homes and welcome residents.”
