Roca Group awarded EcoVadis Platinum Medal for sustainability performance

Roca Group, the designer, producer and marketer of bathroom products, has received the highest recognition from EcoVadis, the world’s most established standard for corporate sustainability ratings.

EcoVadis evaluates sustainability across 21 criteria in four key areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Over 150,000 companies from 185 countries have been assessed by the organisation. The Platinum Medal is awarded exclusively to the top 1% of companies evaluated during the past year.

Roca says that receiving the Platinum Medal reflects the group’s strong commitment to embedding sustainability in all aspects of its business.

Carlos Velázquez, senior managing director of sustainability and institutional relations at Roca Group, said: “Being part of the top 1% worldwide is a significant recognition of our team’s work and the positive impact we are making globally. We see sustainability as an ongoing journey, and this achievement strengthens our determination to push boundaries, foster transformational change in the business world, and continue advancing toward a more sustainable future.”

EcoVadis’s corporate sustainability ratings are based on international standards such as the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact, the conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO), the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and ISO 26000. These ratings provide evidence-based performance analysis and an actionable roadmap for continuous improvement. Roca says that the recognition reinforces the Group’s position as a leader committed to sustainable development and reaffirms the company’s purpose and performance in pursuing a triple positive impact on people, planet and prosperity.
