Vistry announces new group partnerships director

Vistry Group has announced that Catherine Raynsford will join as group partnerships director on 1 January 2027.

She will succeed Stephen Teagle, who will retire from his role as chief executive, Partnerships and Regeneration, at the end of March 2027. They will work together during the first quarter of 2027 to ensure a smooth and orderly transition. Teagle will continue to support Vistry on a part-time basis as an adviser to the chief executive and the PLC board.

Raynsford will play a key role in the continued development of the group’s mixed-tenure partnerships model. She brings more than 20 years’ experience in affordable housing and a strong understanding of the partnerships and mixed-tenure market. She is currently managing director, stock acquisitions at L&G Affordable Homes and was previously investment & partnerships director at The Hyde Group.

Teagle said: “Having spent 40 years in the sector, across both the not-for-profit and plc sectors, it has been a privilege to have played a part in creating an industry-leading partnerships business. I am incredibly proud of the thousands of homes we have delivered and, importantly, the partnerships we have built to make that possible.

“I am delighted that Catherine has agreed to join Vistry. With the success of our recent SAHP allocation and the clear direction of travel under our new strategy, I have every confidence that the business will continue to play an important role in delivering the new homes and mixed-tenure communities the country needs.

“I would like to thank all the colleagues and partners I have worked with over the years and wish Adam and the whole Vistry team every success for the future. I look forward to working closely with Catherine to ensure a smooth transition.”

Adam Daniels, chief executive of Vistry Group, said: “Stephen has played a fundamental role in the creation and evolution of our partnerships model. Throughout his time with the business, he has built and nurtured important relationships with housing associations, local authorities, institutional partners, Homes England and government, many of whom we are proud to call our partners.

“Stephen leaves an outstanding legacy and, on behalf of everyone at Vistry, I would like to thank him for his exceptional contribution and dedicated service. He should be enormously proud of the business he has helped to build.

“I am delighted that Catherine will be joining us to build on these strong foundations as Vistry enters its next stage. She brings significant experience of the affordable housing sector, a deep understanding of our partners and a strong track record in investment and partnerships. I am confident she will provide valuable leadership as we continue to develop and scale our mixed-tenure model.”
