Stonewater has announced the appointment of Jonathan Layzell as its new chief executive office.
The appointment follows the announcement that CEO Nicholas Harris will step down after fifteen years of leadership.
Jonathan Layzell, a respected figure within the housing sector, has been a key part of Stonewater’s leadership over the last decade. Most recently he served as chief officer for growth and development and previously held a variety of roles with Raglan Housing from 2005, prior to the creation of Stonewater.
During his time at Stonewater, Jonathan has lead initiatives such as the partnership with Homes England and championed the organisation’s sustainability agenda.
Drawing on his personal experience of growing up in a rural community and beginning his career as a rural housing enabler, Jonathan continues to be committed to ensuring the long-term sustainability of affordable housing in rural communities. He has also been at the forefront of innovation in home design and customer needs and is a passionate advocate for equality, diversity and inclusion.

Jonathan will begin his new role with immediate effect while Nicholas Harris will remain in an advisory capacity to support a smooth transition.
