Midlands-based developer, Spitfire Homes, has completed the acquisition of a 5.6-acre brownfield site in Halesowen to deliver 61 new homes.
The housebuilder has already started work on-site with the clearance and demolition of the office block that previously occupied the plot.
Each of the 61 homes will feature Spitfire’s recognisable approach to design, presenting stylish exteriors and high-specification interiors including a range of sustainability features such as air source heat pumps and EV charging points to ensure that each home is energy efficient and future-proofed.
An existing woodland area on site will be retained and enhanced with species of wildflower grass to encourage wildlife and preserve the natural environment. The housebuilder is also planning to plant a number of trees, alongside a scheme of landscape enhancement works on the embankment on Manor Way.
Located at the former Sandvik HQ, the 5.6-acre site benefits from a wealth of local amenities with good transport links to nearby cities including Birmingham and Worcester. Work will start in the New Year with the first properties expected to be ready in late 2024.
