Matthew Bennett, Wyatt Homes
Poole-based Wyatt Homes has appointed Matthew Bennett as its financial director. Joining the firm in January 2024, he previously served as a Chartered Accountant for over 25 years, gaining extensive financial and operational expertise at several large companies and holding senior board roles for a range of well-known housebuilders.
Alex Lawson, Barratt Developments
Barratt Developments North East has appointed a new commercial director. Alex Lawson joined the business in November 2022 and rose to the role of head of commercial before his latest promotion. A graduate Northumbria University with a first-class honours degree in Quantity Surveying, he started in the housebuilding industry in 2016.
Lee Hawker, Persimmon Homes
Lee Hawker has been appointed managing director at Persimmon Homes East Wales. Prior to joining the company, he spent 24 years with Redrow Homes. starting as a land graduate, working his way through the ranks to land director before taking up the role of managing director for Redrow’s South West region, a position he held for the last nine years.
Kirsten Keegan, Sovereign Network Group
Sovereign Network Group has appointed Kirsten Keegan as its group general counsel. She joins SNG from global banking giant JP Morgan, where she held senior roles over more than ten years, and prior to that, also headed legal teams at Barclays Bank, and was an associate at global law firm, DLA Piper.
Several appointments, MEC Consulting Group
MEC Consulting Group has promoted Tim Rose to regional director (Leicester); recruited Rob MacDonald, formerly of Taylor Wimpey, Cala Homes and Wain Homes, as regional director (Birmingham); and named Dave Stockton, formerly of Bellway and Countryside, as director – Civils & Structures.
David Reid, UKAA
The UKAA (UK Apartment Association) has confirmed David Reid as the chair of its committee for the Build to Rent single-family housing sector. He is managing director of Legal & General’s Suburban Build-to-Rent business and declared his aim “to drive forward and deliver more much-needed quality rental homes.”
Two appointments, Kirkwood Timber Frame
Aberdeenshire-based Kirkwood Timber Frame has appointed Barbara Massie, with over 19 years of experience in the construction industry, as business development director and promoted Steven Robbie, who joined in 2021 and has 24 years’ experience, to technical director designate.
