We take our weekly look at some of the appointments and promotions across the housebuilding industry and its supply chain.

Jamie Howe, Hopkins Homes

Jamie Howe, Hopkins HomesHopkins Homes has promoted Jamie Howe to construction director. He began his career with the company in 2001 as an assistant site manager, steadily progressing through the ranks, during which time he won the NHBC Pride in the Job award four times, NHBC Seal of Excellence twice and the NHBC Regional Seal of Excellence once.

 

Lee Kirkland, Harron Homes

Lee Kirkland, Harron HomesHarron Homes has appointed Lee Kirkland as construction director for its Yorkshire region. He has spent over 20 years in the construction industry, starting out as an apprentice bricklayer at age 17 and becoming a site manager by the age of 23, working for two-and-a-half years for Harron Homes at that time.

 

Three appointments, Lovell Partnerships

Naz Singh, Catherine Galley, Lovell PartnershipsLovell Partnerships has appointed three new recruits for its North East region. Joining the team as health, safety and environment manager, trainee sales executive, and forklift operator respectively, Naz Singh (pictured left), Catherine Galley (pictured right) and Gavin Leahman bring a wealth of talent and experience to their roles.

Jamie Tosh, Bancon GroupBancon Group has promoted Jamie Tosh to the position of business operations director. He has acquired in-depth knowledge and expertise in the construction and housebuilding sectors after some 30 years in the industry. He said: “I am honoured to take on this pivotal position within Bancon Group.”

 

Kevin Healy, Octagon

Kevin Healy, OctagonOctagon has appointed an in-house General Counsel. Beginning his career as a barrister before converting to a solicitor in his mid-20s, Kevin Healy quickly found his specialism in property law. He said: I’ve worked alongside many of the Board and team over the years as their external solicitor and they have all been an absolute joy.”

 

Gary Burton, Audley Group

Gary Burton, Audley GroupAudley Group has announced it has appointed Gary Burton as chief operating officer (COO), to add to his current role as chief financial officer (CFO). He joined the company in 2020 with a wealth of experience from leading businesses including FTSE 100 home improvement retailer Kingfisher plc and health and wellbeing company Nuffield Health.

 

Duncan Jackson, Hopkins Homes

Duncan Jackson, Hopkins HomesHopkins Homes, has appointed Duncan Jackson, formerly of Cala Homes, as its new managing director. He brings with him over 25 years’ experience in senior executive roles and a strong land-acquisition background. Previous jobs include time at Persimmon Homes, Taylor Wimpey, George Wimpey and Laing Homes.

 

Paul Borrmann, Ascend Properties

Paul Borrmann, Ascend PropertiesAscend Properties has appointed Paul Borrmann as its new managing director. He was previously MD of Dandara Living and has worked in the residential property sector for 16 years, specifically specialising in institutional PRS and BTR since 2014; prior to Dandara Living, he launched the northern PRS and BTR operation for Grainger plc.

 

Multiple appointments, Moda Group

Luke Scott, Tarry Depledge, Moda GroupModa Group has made several key appointments. Craig Allden joins the company from Quintain as head of leasing; Luke Scott (pictured left) has been brough in as project director; Tarry Depledge (pictured right) is welcomed as the company’s first dedicated ESG manager; David Sinclair also joins the company as head of technology.

 

Phil Hooper, Close Brothers

Phil Hooper, Close BrothersPhil Hooper is joining Close Brothers Property Finance to succeed Frank Pennal as CEO. Previously working at Pluto Finance for 15 years, prior to that he spent 36 years at NatWest, holding a number of senior positions, including Head of Real Estate Finance, in which he managed the bank’s £30billion real estate loan book in the UK.

 

Rebekah Tomkinson, Reginox UK

Rebekah Tomkinson, Reginox UKReginox UK has announced the promotion of Rebekah Tomkinson to UK sales manager. She said: “I’ve worked for Reginox UK for 10 years now. I’m so lucky to have worked my way up throughout the business and I really believe it puts me in a unique position to help support the whole sales team and support Dave [Mayer] in his role as commercial director.”

 

Alyshia Humphreys, Rangemaster

Alyshia Humphreys, RangemasterRangemaster, part of Middleby Corporation, has appointed Alyshia Humphreys as its new national account manager. She brings with her extensive experience of appliances, having worked in buyer roles at Wren Kitchens. She commented: “Joining the Rangemaster family is an exciting opportunity.”

 

Three appointments, Strutt & Parker

Agne Karazuite, Ed Boden, Miles Baker, Strutt & ParkerStrutt & Parker has announced the appointment of two new sales heads. Agne Karazuite, who joined the company in 2021, has been promoted to head of sales in South Kensington, and Ed Boden, following six years heading up the sales team in South Kensington, has been appointed head of sales in Chelsea, also joined by assistant sales head, Miles Baker.
