Eleanor Ogilvie, MCI Developments
Eleanor Ogilvie has been promoted to head of land & partnerships at MCI Developments. Having started her career in the construction industry in 2015, she joined the company in 2019 as a land & partnerships manager, and within 3 years has been able to achieve her goal of head of department at just 27-years-old. She has been Chair for Women in Property North West for 2021/2022.
Georgia Thomson, Women in Property South Wales
Women in Property has announced its incoming South Wales Chair for 2022/23. Georgia Thomson has taken on the role leading the regional property and construction industry influencing and networking organisation. She will be supported in her role by incoming vice chair, Laura Beddis, business development manager of Galliford Try.
Stewart Lynes, Miller Homes
Miller Homes has announced that, effective from the end of March, Stewart Lynes is to be appointed as chief executive officer, succeeding Chris Endsor, who will become executive chairman. Lynes joined Miller Homes 15 years ago and has held various senior positions during that time including COO since 2019. He said: “It will be a privilege to step up to CEO.”
Three appointments, Lovell Partnerships
Lovell Partnerships has announced the promotion of three staff members in the Eastern region. Chris Smith, Sarah Lancaster and Joanna Dawe have been promoted to land and partnerships director, field sales manager and sales coordinator respectively. Robert Adams, regional managing director at Lovell, said: “We are delighted to announce these three promotions.”
Don Anderson, Avant Homes
Avant Homes has appointed Don Anderson to the role of managing director for its North East region. He arrives with more than 44 years’ experience in the housebuilding industry and previously held the position of construction director at Bellway and Persimmon Homes. He said: “There is a highly skilled and experienced team in the North East and some fantastic opportunities for the region.”
David Cowans, Regis Group
David Cowans is joining property investor Regis Group as a senior strategic advisor to provide strategic advice on its new initiatives, with a particular focus on affordable housing. The move comes after Mr Cowans announced in April 2021 that he would be retiring from Places for People after 24 years as chief executive.
Amy Hand, Cruden Group
The Cruden Group has reinforced its ambition to grow and develop its workforce amidst the sector’s chronic skills shortages by recruiting learning and development specialist, Amy Hand, to support its HR team and take a lead role in the future development of its 600 employees. Her previous roles include those at Sight Scotland and BMW.
Chris Ballantyne, MetroPM
MetroPM, has recruited an experienced service charge manager. Chris Ballantyne has worked in the finance sector for 15 years, with the last three years as a service charge accountant. He commented: “I am now looking forward to working with the team and making a real contribution to MetroPM’s continued growth.”
