James Mulcare, Godwin Developments

James Mulcare, Godwin DevelopmentsGodwin Developments has promoted James Mulcare to the position of head of residential capital markets. A qualified member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, James joined the company three years ago from MCR Property Group. Prior to this, he worked in investment and asset management with the likes of LaSalle Investment Management and JLL.

 

Amanda Machon, Vistry Group

Amanda Machon, Vistry GroupAmanda Machon has been with the company since 2018 and was recently promoted from customer service manager to director, looking after both Linden Homes and Bovis customers. As well as working for new homes developers in the private sector, Amanda also spent 10 years working as an architectural technician.

 

Shane Robinson, Living Space Housing

Shane Robinson, Living Space HousingLiving Space Housing has appointed Shane Robinson as production director. He joins from Countryside Properties, where he was an associate construction director. Prior to that, he was head of construction for Persimmon Homes South Midlands and in a 20-year housebuilding career has also previously worked at Kier Living and Wates Living Space.

 

Tim Carpenter, Durkan

Tim Carpenter, DurkanDurkan has announced the appointment of Tim Carpenter as its new group new business director. Focusing on expanding the company’s successful partnerships with local authorities and housing associations, he joins with over 25 years’ experience working with public sector clients and senior roles at Mears Group and Willmott Dixon.

 

Two appointments, Connells Group

Jon Notley and Gary Barker, ConnellsConnells Group announces two significant appointments to support its next phase of growth. Adding to the experience of its senior team, Jon Notley has joined from his role as CEO of Zero Deposit and has been appointed group integration director, while Gary Barker joins as group chief technology officer from being CEO at Reapit.

 

Alison Humber, Davidsons Homes

Alison Humber, Davidsons HomesDavidsons Homes South Midlands has brought in a new area sales manager to oversee its developments across Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and Buckinghamshire. Alison Humber, who has over 22 years’ experience in the housebuilding industry, described joining the team as “like going full circle and returning to the family, especially with so many familiar faces.”

 

Tony Johnson, Avant Homes North East

Tony Johnson, Avant Homes North EastAvant Homes North East has announced its newly created role of regional development director and the appointment of Tony Johnson. He has over 40 years’ experience in the housebuilding industry and joined Avant Homes’ operation in the region in March 2015 as commercial director. He said “It’s exciting to be a part of the process of leading the North East to continued success.”

 

Two appointments, YTL Developments

Simon Fitton and Hannah Williams, YTL DevelopmentsYTL Developments has expanded its planning & development team. Simon Fitton has 20+ years’ experience and joins from Alder King LLP as technical planning director, and Hannah Williams is senior planning & development executive, having spent the past six years working on the largest masterplanned residential community in her native Australia: ‘Aura’.

 

Bernie Vent, CALA Homes Midlands

Bernie Vent, CALA Homes MidlandsBernie Vent has joined CALA Homes Midlands as land director, bringing with him over ten years’ industry experience and an in-depth knowledge of the CALA business having spent over four years with the company’s Chiltern region as senior land manager. He commented: “I am delighted to be joining my colleagues in the Midlands at such an exciting time for the region.”

 

Tim Hawkes, Avant Homes Midlands

Tim Hawkes, Avant Homes MidlandsNottingham-based housebuilder Avant Homes Midlands has promoted its commercial director, Tim Hawkes, to the newly created role of regional development director. He has almost 20 years’ experience in the housebuilding industry and joined Avant Homes Midlands in February 2020 as commercial director.

 

Four appointments, Anwyl Homes

Alice Edwards and Thomas Bradley, Anwyl HomesEwloe-based Anwyl Homes has promoted four members of its sales and marketing team to management roles: Thomas Bradley has progressed to senior sales manager; Alice Edwards and Phoebe Davies have both been appointed as marketing managers for the Cheshire and North Wales and the Lancashire regions respectively; and Carmel Duffy is now sales office manager.

 

James Costello, Elevate Property Group

James Costello, Elevate Property GroupElevate Property Group has appointed James Costello as development director. Most recently a partner and head of cost consultancy at global construction consultants Rider Levett Bucknall, he started his career in the Midlands having achieved a BSc Hons at University of Central England and is a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

 

Simon Evans, Hayfield

Simon Evans, HayfieldHayfield has appointed Simon Evans as a contracts manager to oversee six developments located across middle England. He joins from Barwood Homes, where he was a construction director, and prior to that was area build director for Bovis Homes and has previously worked for David Wilson Homes, altogether accumulating over 30 years’ experience in the housebuilding industry.

 

Two appointments, Orbit Group

Stephen Smith and Massy Larizadeh, Orbit GroupOrbit Group has welcomed two new non-executive directors to its Board, with Stephen Smith and Massy Larizadeh bringing extensive experience from the financial and construction sectors. Chair of Orbit Group, Baroness Tessa Blackstone, said: “I very much look forward to working with them as we continue to lead in building thriving communities through our new Orbit 2025 Corporate Strategy.”

 

David Hockaday, Millstream Management Services

David Hockaday, Millstream Management ServicesDavid Hockaday has been appointed managing director of retirement property management specialist Millstream Management Services, an independent arm of the Churchill Retirement Group. He brings extensive experience of managing retirement developments, having previously spent six years at McCarthy & Stone Management Services, most recently as operations director.
