Rob Burke, Watts Group
Expanding UK property and construction specialist, Watts Group, has strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointment of Rob Burke as lead director of its commercial building surveying team in London.
Following a spell with another surveying firm, he is re-joining Watts where he previously spent 15 years, rising from associate to director.
Mark Lloyd has joined Alfred Jones as construction director. Mark’s career started with a variety of on-site roles before moving into site management, before ultimately being appointed operations director with the South-based construction company. As a result, Mark will bring a wealth of valuable experience to his new position at Alfred Homes.
Faye Shackell, Castle Green Homes
Castle Green Homes has welcomed Faye Shackell to the new role of people manager to support the continued growth of the business.
Faye said: “Castle Green Homes is an ambitious housebuilder, with plans for growth and so the opportunity to join the business at this stage was really exciting. I’m keen to work with the leadership team to develop a people function that works alongside and supports the business strategy. Everyone who works at Castle Green has a crucial role to play in the ambitious plans for growth and therefore it’s great that the business has invested in a role which will have the opportunity to focus on this.”
Cherie Reed and Abigail Beavers, AJC Group
Affordable housing partner AJC Group has promoted two of its employees, Cherie Reed from customer care coordinator to senior customer care coordinator, and Abigail Beavers from quantity surveyor to head of commercial.
Cherie, who has been with AJC Group for two years, previously worked for retirement specialist and developer McCarthy Stone. She forms an integral part of the customer relations team and deals with all means of communication and administration relating to customer care.
Abigail joined AJC Group back in May 2023 after working for the Affordable Housing & Healthcare Group. Abi completed her HNC in 2019 and then received a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying in 2022.
Karen Standing, Hamptons
Leading estate agent, Hamptons, has further strengthened its Build to Rent (BTR) and corporate (PRS) lettings operation with the creation of a new position on its residential lettings board. Karen Standinghas beenappointed Head of BTR and Corporate PRS following a period of accelerated growth and extensive geographic expansion.
Standing joined Hamptons in 2008 to lead the company’s South East residential lettings network, a remit which expanded to incorporate BTR and Corporate PRS in 2018. Since that time BTR revenues have increased significantly under her tenure, geographic coverage has extended nationwide and she has overseen the lease of nearly 18,000 BTR units.
Emily Armstrong, rybull group
In a strategic move to enhance its service offerings and reinforce its position in the property market, rybull group has appointed Emily Armstrong as director. Emily will lead the company’s new homes division, focusing on ensuring exceptional service for clients selling new homes.
With over 18 years of expertise in new homes sales and marketing, Emily Armstrong will oversee the new homes initiative, bringing her personable approach and passion for building relationships. Her guidance and strategic solutions aim to create seamless and rewarding property journeys for developers and housebuilders.
