Housing industry careers news: This week’s Movers & Shakers
We take our weekly look at some of the appointments and promotions across the housebuilding industry and its supply chain.
Ian Galloway, Alfred Homes
Ian Galloway has joined the team at Alfred Homes bringing in-depth industry experience gained from wide-ranging roles within both the commercial and residential sectors.
Ian has worked with some of the largest contractors in the South on a variety of projects ranging from MOD housing regeneration schemes to the delivery of high-end, bespoke residential properties, and was also instrumental in the successful integration of commercial practices following the merger of Vistry and Countryside Partnerships in 2022.
Sarah Sams, Dutton Gregory Solicitors
Dutton Gregory Solicitors has appointed Sarah Sams as head of the firm’s Residential Property division.
Sarah, who was previously a partner at Dutton Gregory Solicitors, has an extensive background in property law, with over 20 years of experience in residential conveyancing. She has a specialist knowledge in shared ownership, having advised some of the largest affordable housing providers in the UK, as well as acting for leaseholders and buyers.
Michael Marriott, Waterline
Michael Marriott, previously finance and commercial director, has been promoted to the position of CEO at Waterline.
Michael has worked at the kitchen furniture and appliance supplier for the last three years, joining as finance and commercial manager before becoming finance and commercial director, and has been involved in implementing a strong after-sales team and process, as well as product development direction and marketing.
Mike Ashworth, Harron Homes
Harron Homes North Midlands has welcomed Mike Ashworth to its Barlborough office as the new planning manager.
Mike brings 24 years of industry experience to the role, including many years as a chartered town planner and more recently within housebuilding, which will see him promote new locations across the South Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire areas as part of the company’s continued growth.
Simon Park, Bellway
Bellway has appointed Simon Park as its group head of sustainability which will focus on the delivery of the housebuilder’s sustainable approach to business practices, Better with Bellway.
Simon has spent more than a decade in corporate sustainability roles and said he was attracted to the role after being impressed by the Newcastle-based developer’s ambitious approach to achieving greater sustainability.
Emma Creffield and Oliver Truelove, Strutt and Parker
Strutt & Parker has announced two appointments with Emma Creffield (née Smith) and Oliver Truelove joining the company.
Emma joins as senior associate director in the Ascot & Sunningdale office having previously worked at the company for four years from 2015, while Oliver joins the Guildford & Horsham office as an associate director and will work closely with Strutt & Parker’s well-established Surrey teams.
