We take our weekly look at appointments and promotions across the housebuilding industry and its supply chain.
Three appointments, Honey
Honey has announced three senior appointments to accelerate its regional growth strategy across Yorkshire and the Midlands.
To create the structure for further growth, Chris Coley has been promoted to group managing director whilst Luke Herring steps up to the position of regional director. At the same time, Chris Clingo has been hired as managing director for Yorkshire.
Chris Coley (pictured right), who was previously managing director, now has overall responsibility for the operational delivery of Honey’s developments across both its operating regions.
Luke Herring (pictured centre) joined Honey just over two years ago from Vistry Group and has been promoted from land director. In his new role, he is responsible the growth and delivery of Honey’s development activity across the housebuilder’s Central region.
With a 22-year career in housebuilding, Chris Clingo (pictured left) joins from Keepmoat Homes where he was regional managing director. At Honey, he is tasked with overseeing and growing the housebuilder’s development activity across its Yorkshire region.
James Newton, Miller Homes
Jason Newton has been appointed as managing director of the North West division of Miller Homes, taking over the role from Stuart Craig.
Newton has joined from Redrow, where he started in 2015 as sales and marketing director, marking the start of his second stint with the housebuilder. He held this post for five years before being appointed MD for the North West. He has also held positions at Barratt and Taylor Wimpey.
At Miller, Newton will be based out of the company’s Birchwood office and preside over projects in Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, and Lancashire.
Stewart Lynes, chief executive at Miller Homes, said: “Jason has an outstanding track record in the sector and a deep understanding of the North West market. His leadership and experience will be invaluable as we continue to grow our presence and deliver high-quality new homes across the region.”
Newton added: “I am delighted to be joining Miller Homes at such an exciting point in its growth journey.”
Martina Malone, Helical
Helical has announced the appointment of Martina Malone as an independent non-executive director with effect from 1 September 2025.
She is the former global head of capital raising at Prologis, a global logistics real estate firm, where she worked from 2010 until the beginning of August this year, during which time she built and led a global team across offices in London, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Amsterdam and Singapore.
In all, Malone has over 30 years of finance, banking and real estate experience from roles at JER Partners, Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse and HypoVereinsbank and has acted as a champion for women and young leaders in the companies she has worked for and across the wider real estate industry.
Richard Cotton, independent non-executive chairman of the board at Helical, said of Malone: “Helical will benefit from her real estate, investment and structuring experience, as well as her financial rigour and ability to support our strategy.”
Nick Lloyd, Persimmon Homes
Persimmon Homes Severn Valley has appointed ‘one of its own’ as commercial director, with Nick Lloyd taking the position after 15 years with the company.
He started as a quantity surveyor, before going on to become a senior QS, chief surveyor and commercial director designate. Prior to this, Lloyd worked at Morgan Sindall Special Projects, Redrow and Barratt Homes.
Commenting on his appointment, he said: “Having served in the commercial team for a number of years, I am delighted to have been entrusted with this new director role. Ensuring the numbers work for developers has never been harder with the increasing obligations coming the way of housebuilders, but I am relishing the challenge.”
MD for Persimmon Homes Severn Valley, Claire Burton, added: “I want to give Nick a huge congratulations on a thoroughly deserved promotion after excelling as in his various roles in the company over the last 15 years. I look forward to seeing him continue his good work in his new position.”
Ben Cook, Savills
Savills has announced the appointment of Ben Cook as associate director at its Midlands planning team, based in Birmingham.
A Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute, Cook joins from Stantec and brings over a decade of experience in both residential and commercial sectors with strategic land promotion, development management, and stakeholder engagement, with recent successes including securing planning permission for residential developments in Coventry, Tamworth, and Hinckley and Bosworth, as well as major employment schemes in Slough.

Gillian Lamont, Ronald Ross
Ronald Ross Lettings and Estate Agents has appointed Gillian Lamont as its new sales director.
The rapidly growing business, founded and led by directors Kimberley Ronald and Robert Ross in January this year, has tasked Lamont with securing up to 250 sales transactions in the year to December 2025. Formerly with Slater Hogg and Taylor Wimpey, she brings 30 years of experience especially in new build sales to the new role.
Lamont (pictured right) said: “Given my background in new build home sales I am particularly interested in working with housebuilders and developers of all sizes to give them the extra sales boost they need to realise the huge investment they have made in bringing new homes to the market.”
Ross (pictured centre) commented: “We are exceptionally pleased to have secured a new colleague of Gillian’s expertise and background.”

Joe Constable, Moores
Kitchen manufacturer, Moores, has strengthened its operational leadership team with the appointment of Joe Constable as Business Improvement Manager.
Joe will lead the company’s efforts to embed continuous improvement into every layer of the business. His initial focus is on building a deep understanding of how departments operate and interconnect from manufacturing and planning through to supply chain, commercial and customer service. This insight will underpin the development of a more structured and visible improvement pipeline.
