ECF, the regeneration partnership of Homes England, Muse and L&G, has received planning approval for the latest stage of the Adelphi Village project in Salford.
The green light has been given to 263 homes. 151 of them will be one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments set across two five- and six-storey buildings on Peru Street, together with 112 affordable, Passivhaus apartments of the type nearing completion at Willohaus.
Adelphi Village will be providing over 700 new homes and will be the main residential area of the £2.5bn, 240-acre Crescent Salford masterplan being delivered by EFC alongside Salford City Council and the University of Salford.
Benefiting from the first wave of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority’s (GMCA) £1bn Good Growth Fund, Adelphi Village has already been awarded £23.4m for 336 new homes, many of which for affordable housing tenures and including 42 townhouses.
These latest new homes have been designed by Buttress Architects and will be complemented by trees, planting and outdoor space, alongside cycle parking to encourage active, sustainable travel.
Work is expected to begin on site this summer.
