Comer Homes is in the process of securing planning for multiple high-profile projects across the UK that will result in the delivery of over 5,000 new homes. In addition, the award-winning housebuilder will begin construction of a series of significant developments this year, whilst also establishing over 12,000 homes for zoning.
In total, Comer Homes’ current pipeline is set to deliver over 20,000 units, with an estimated GDV of c.£5billion. Once fully delivered, which is estimated to take place across the next decade, the new homes constructed will have a significant impact on alleviating the current housing crisis engulfing the UK.
Two of the most prominent schemes, currently going through the planning process are Royal Brunswick Park, a 45-acre site in North London, and the All Saints Pastoral Centre & Chapel, a historic former Anglican convent set on 58 acres of mature parkland in St. Albans.
Currently in the final stages of planning review by the local authority and the Mayor of London’s office, Royal Brunswick Park comprises over 2,400 new apartments and houses on the North London Business Park in New Southgate. Once planning approval is secured, Comer Homes will produce one of London’s largest mixed-use developments, which will feature a brand-new secondary school, gymnasium, and sports facilities, as well as multiple large public parks.
The All Saints Pastoral Centre & Chapel, a former Anglican convent dating back to the late 19th century, is set to be restored and converted into a collection of around 300 new homes, which also includes a selection of new-build blocks that will tie in with the period character and charm of the site.
Also in the new homes pipeline is a landmark project in Greater London that will be the developer’s largest to date and one of the biggest single development sites delivered in the UK. In addition, over 150 new homes have been established for zoning on a significant site in Leggart Brae in Aberdeen, with the planning application process expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
