Jones Homes Yorkshire is saluting a major milestone as three members of its leadership team achieve more than 60 years of combined service with the company.
Land director Howard Gray (pictured left), sales and marketing director Jayne Swift (pictured centre) and divisional commercial director Chris Hession (pictured right) have each passed the 20-year mark with the business, reflecting long-standing service as a testament is positive workplace and record of supporting long-term career development.
Gray joined the division as a land manager in 2005 before being promoted to his current role of divisional land director nine years later.
He said: “I feel privileged to have enjoyed such a long and fulfilling career with Jones Homes, working alongside my wonderful colleagues to build attractive new communities and exceptional homes for people across the region.
“The company is privately-run, which means there is flexibility which allows us to build developments with as few as 15 new homes right up to sites featuring hundreds of properties and everything in between.
“Identifying new land opportunities that will make great communities, navigating the increasingly complex planning, technical and regulatory process, are all parts of my role and we never stop learning.
“I enjoy working with both internal and external teams to find solutions to overcome these challenges to create developments which future customers will be proud to call their home.”
Jayne Swift joined the company in 2005 as sales and marketing manager and progressed to become sales and marketing director to lead the sales and marketing operations for the region.
She said: “What makes Jones Homes special is the pride we take in our homes and our customers’ experience. We’ve grown significantly over the years but always retained that family-led, quality-first ethos that sets us apart.
“The sales environment has evolved in 20 years, becoming more fast-paced with the adoption of digital communications. We have a talented and committed team which embraces new ways of working, while our home designs remain traditional and timeless.”
Hession joined Jones Homes in 2002 as an assistant quantity surveyor, progressing through a series of commercial roles before becoming divisional commercial director in 2024.
He said: “Joining Jones Homes was the best decision I ever made. It’s a place where people can progress and build long and successful careers. The supportive family ethos makes it a great environment in which to grow, while our focus on quality over quantity enables us to deliver work that we are proud of.”
