Affordable homes tower in Acton

Acton social housing development reaches practical completion

The Brooke House residential scheme, delivering 102 affordable rental homes in Acton, has reached practical completion three months ahead of schedule.

The development replaces a former 39-home estate and the homes have been designed to provide safe and secure accommodation for women living and working in Ealing. It will also house essential workers in the local community, including teachers, NHS workers, and transport staff, amongst others, supporting key workers to access homes in the borough.

Now ready for occupation, the project has been delivered by HG Construction in partnership with Women’s Pioneer Housing and L&Q, with J3 Advisory being the insurance advisor, placing the structural warranty with Build-Zone.

Johnny Leadsom, director at J3 Advisory, commented: “Our role was to make sure the warranty aligned with how the scheme was being delivered, not just that it was in place. That’s often where issues arise late in the process, so it’s good to see this one move through to completion cleanly.”

Adam Quinn, chief executive officer at HG Construction said: “We are proud to reach practical completion on a development that marks a new era for Women’s Pioneer Housing. This was a well-coordinated project, and we are happy to see the homes now ready for residents to move in, three months ahead of schedule.”
