The CDA Group has become the first kitchen appliance brand to be awarded Ethical Accreditation from The GOOD Shopping Guide.
It has achieved a top-ranking GSG Ethical score of 89 across several home appliance ratings tables. The GOOD Shopping Guide therefore verifies CDA as one of the UK’s most ethical kitchen appliance suppliers, based on its policies and practices towards the environment, animals and people.
The CDA now stands among the Top 200 Ethical Businesses, alongside notable companies such as Octopus Energy, Neal’s Yard Remedies and Green People, which have also achieved Ethical Accreditation.
As a supplier of ethical cookers, dishwashers, fridge-freezers and washing machines, CDA has secured its place at the top of four of The GOOD Shopping Guide’s home appliances tables. CDA also offers other appliances, such as coffee machines, hobs, extractors and sinks.
The research team at The GOOD Shopping Guide noted that CDA upholds high ethical standards throughout its business policies and practices. The company has a robust Code of Conduct, which ensures fair working conditions across its supply chain, as well as a clean record of ethical production.
Kat Alexander, director of The GOOD Shopping Guide, said: “CDA’s Ethical Accreditation is powerful verification for today’s conscious consumers. This recognition, along with their top-ranking GSG Ethical Score in our tables, reflects not only strong sustainability credentials, but also a clear commitment to transparency and accountability.”
“As the first brand in this sector to attain our independent endorsement, CDA now holds a distinct competitive advantage and raises the bar for ethical standards in the home appliances industry.”
Chris Ward, managing director at The CDA, said: “We are incredibly proud to be recognised with Ethical Accreditation from The GOOD Shopping Guide. This achievement is more than a certification. It reflects our values as a business and the commitment of our people to doing what’s right for customers, communities and the planet.”
“At CDA, we’ve always believed that great design and innovation must go hand in hand with responsibility. To now be ranked amongst the UK’s most ethical companies is a milestone moment that will inspire us to go even further.”
The GOOD Shopping Guide compares brand scores on all sustainability, animal welfare and fair trade issues across over 70 sectors and industries. The research includes environmental track records, animal welfare and human rights issues, which encompasses a wide range of ethical criteria. All the research is published on the Ethical Ratings Tables, which raises awareness about the ethical and unethical brands within each industry.
Its Ethical Accreditation system formally endorses those brands that reach its ethical benchmark standard, which is currently held by over 150 companies.
