We take our weekly look at some of the appointments and promotions across the housebuilding industry and its supply chain.
Peter Lewis, Castle Green Homes
The new role of head of customer care has been created at Castle Green Homes with the appointment of Peter Lewis. He has almost a decade of experience in customer care with housebuilders and worked for the NHBC for 14 years in various roles, including as an inspection manager and was part of the dispute resolution service.
Two appointments, Miller Homes
John Hardy and Matthew Paul have joined Miller Homes at its Warrington office, taking on the roles of land director and commercial director for the region respectively. Both with 20+ years’ experience, Hardy has previously worked for Jones Homes, Bloor Homes and Taylor Wimpey, and Paul joins from Barratt Homes, having started as a trainee quantity surveyor.
Glenn Cooper, Cala Homes
Cala Homes (North Home Counties) has announced the internal promotion of Glenn Copper to managing director. He joined the company in 2020 as sales & marketing director with over 12 years of industry experience. He commented: “My focus will be on developing the great talent within our 100+ strong team.”
Kate Narro, Persimmon Homes
Kate Narro has been appointed to the role of senior land manager at Persimmon North Scotland. She brings with her a wealth of experience, having previously worked for Justin Lamb Associates as an associate and with several land consultants across Scotland. She said: “I’m looking forward to working with the experienced team.”
Clare Johnson, Centrick
Clare Johnson has joined Centrick as Build to Rent director, having spent the last two years working as Build to Rent director for brownfield developer Inland Homes plc. Her 20 years of property management experience started in a customer service role, before working her way up in management and senior operational roles.
Kevin McColgan, Bancon
Bancon Group has appointed Kevin McColgan as its new chief executive. He joins from Lovell in Scotland where he was regional managing director, having originally joined the company as operations director in 2017. Starting has an apprentice joiner, he has accumulated 30 years’ experience in construction with numerous housebuilders.
Two appointments, GROHE
GROHE has announced the appointment of Seamus Kelly as its new leader covering Ireland, and the appointment of Mark White as leader covering Trade & Retail across the UK and Ireland. Chris Dodds, leader of Commercial UK, LIXIL EMENA, commented: “I’m delighted to welcome Mark to the team and congratulate Seamus on his new appointment.”
Harriet Bolt, The Oracle Group
The Oracle Group has appointed Harriet Bolt as social media director. She has extensive property knowledge from a 12-year career and said: “Joining Oracle to expand their social media offering is a timely opportunity to expand the true capabilities of an effective social media presence.”
Two appointments, LH1 Global
LH1 Global has announced the promotion of two long-serving members of the business, with Tom Lilley promoted to sales director and Harry Hickling-Baker to business development & partnership manager. Company CEO Rayna Hunter said: “We’re delighted to see two highly valued members of our team thrive and continue to grow with us.”
Alan Todd, Rendall & Rittner
Rendall & Rittner has appointed Alan Todd as programme manager to oversee the delivery of its technology transformation project including MyPlace, its new customer portal. He brings with him over 20 years’ experience in a wide range of major companies including Mastercard, Western Union, Co-op and the Football Association.
Emma McCarthy, Churchill Estates Management
Emma McCarthy has been promoted to the position of managing director of retirement property management specialist Churchill Estates Management (CEM) from her previous role of commercial director. She is the third generation of McCarthys to take a senior leadership role in the family-run company, and the first woman.
Andrew Healy, DM Hall
Chartered surveyors DM Hall have named Andrew Healy as financial director. He held the financial reins at the Scottish Rugby Union for 10 years and joins the company from the Law Society of Scotland. An accountancy graduate from Glasgow University, he has worked for EY (formerly Ernst & Young) and subsequently in a variety of sectors.
