The modern housebuilder, House by Urban Splash, has introduced a new typology to its portfolio of modular housing.
Row House brings a bold new aesthetic to the market, with a range of three typologies and loads of customisable options for house-buyers to choose from – with one design including its own rooftop terrace.
Row House is the fourth product to be added to the House by Urban Splashportfolio of modern homes. Town House – a customisable family home over two or three storeys – launched in Manchester in 2016 before being rolled out in Salford, North Shields, Birmingham and Cambridgeshire. Mansion House, European style mid-rise apartments, are on sale in Manchester, while the special edition Fab House, designed by George Clarke, has already sold out in North Shields.
Row House complements House’s existing portfolio of homes, representing a modern mews house, or ‘Urban Cottage’, meaning more people can get on the housing ladder with a home customised to meet their individual lifestyle needs.

Like Town House and Mansion House, Row House is designed by award-winning architects shedkm, and offers the boldest and most modern aesthetic to date, characterized by vibrant red cladding and oversized, floor-to-ceiling windows.
Row House comes in a choice of three sizes with the same footprint; two storey, two and a half storey with a roof terrace, and three storey, with a fantastic master suite. As with all House by Urban Splash homes, layouts can all be customised by the buyer to suit their lifestyle and taste.
The customer chooses how many storeys their house will have; the result is an undulating streetscape built by the individual homeowners that is unique to their street.
Row House is designed to complement and work alongside other House by Urban Splash homes, introducing a new scale and architectural aesthetic. The first Row House homes will be at East Float, Wirral Waters – a brand new riverside neighbourhood in Merseyside, where they will look out onto shared communal gardens.
Row House at East Float features a characterful industrial red metal cladding, designed in keeping with the neighbourhood’s distinctive Docklands architecture. A variety of cladding options means that future editions of Row House can be customised to fit the local vernacular.
Inside, Row House is designed around House’s principles of space, light, and choice, with the architects’ design maximising the available internal space and offering a buyer flexibility as to how to use it; whether to create multiple generous double bedrooms, a rooftop terrace for entertaining, a light and spacious home study, or hobby room.
By combining the benefits of precision building techniques with high quality insulation, Row House keeps the heat in during the winter months and makes full use of every ray of sunshine during the summer.

The two storey Row House, a 79 sq m property, offers two full-width spacious bedrooms with high ceilings and large windows and a full-width dining room and lounge with customisable kitchen and cloakroom.
The two and half storey Row House is 103 sq m in size, and offers a stunning rooftop terrace on the third floor which is accessed via a full-height sliding door, opening out onto a generous deck. These three-bedroom homes also offer full-width sleeping and living areas, with an additional bathroom, plus a spacious dressing and storage area.
While largest three storey home is 116 sq m in space. It can be configured as a four-bedroom home or a three bed with a top-floor master suite. Once again featuring full-width bedrooms and living areas, high ceilings, huge windows, and a choice of bathrooms and kitchen finishes.
Prices for Row House start from £210,000 and the first Row Houses will launch for sale at Wirral Waters in Merseyside this spring.
