Strawberry Star makes $50m development debut

Strawberry Star Group, a London-based international property company, has marked its entry into the London’s residential property development market with the launch of BRONZE, a £50 million scheme in Wandsworth designed to provide first time buyers with new homes at lower capital values.

Santhosh Gowda, Founder Chairman, Strawberry Star Group, said, “With the London market being highly competitive and quality-conscious, we saw the need for providing housing to first-time buyers at lower capital values. We have launched a dedicated development division, which will identify more opportunities for such schemes. BRONZE is a perfect addition to Wandsworth, one of the most desired places to live in London.”

Work on the scheme will commence soon with completion expected in the fourth quarter of 2019.

Architecture firm Rolfe Judd achieved planning for BRONZE, while the detailed design is by ACG – Ayre Chamberlain Gaunt. Henry Construction Projects Ltd is the project contractor while Henry Riley LLP is the employer’s agent. The scheme will be marketed in the UK and abroad jointly by JLL and Strawberry Star.

The Wandsworth Regeneration plans include new developments aimed at creating better housing, transport, leisure pursuits and business opportunities in the borough. In all, the demand for quality housing is set to rise owing to improved connectivity, job opportunities and amenities. Strawberry Star said it is keen on leveraging this opportunity and BRONZE is set to redefine the urban lifestyle of the area.

The Light Bulb is the workspace element of the development, designed to attract a youthful SME business community.
