National record for Kirk in Telford

David Wilson Homes senior project manager Kirk Raine has set a new record for the quality of homes built at The Grove at Doseley Park in Telford, Shropshire in the Construction Quality Reviews by the National Housebuilding Council (NHBC).

He has scored 5.96 out of 6 in the recent Construction Quality Review at the St Lukes Road development, as well as 100% positive scores on the review, setting a national record.

The review is set by the NHBC to maintain and raise the quality of new homes during a period of significant volume growth. The process is undertaken by NHBC inspection managers and takes into account 38 build stages, focusing on construction quality and understanding of the levels of quality.

The Grove at Doseley Park report scored ‘Outstanding’ for 96% of the report meaning that much of work cannot be improved on and just 4% of the report scored as ‘Very Good’ meaning that some extra detail over and above minimum requirements have been included.

On this, Kirk said: “I’m extremely honoured with this score, it’s an enormous team effort and I would like to thank the whole site team and my directors for their continued support. As a team, we take a great amount of pride in the high levels of quality and service we deliver for our customers at The Grove at Doseley Park and we’re proud to be a five-star homebuilder.”

It’s another major achievement for Kirk – he won a 2020 NHBC Pride in the Job Supreme award, the top accolade for his role.

Dominic Harman, managing director at David Wilson Homes Mercia, said: “We pride ourselves on our high standards of housebuilding but this applies to our staff as well, who we work with very closely.

“By employing excellent team players, we can ensure that our trademark high quality is maintained across all of our sites and Kirk is certainly no exception here. We would like to congratulate him on this fantastic achievement.”
