We take our weekly look at some of the appointments and promotions across the housebuilding industry and its supply chain.

Two appointments, Alfred Homes

Steven Edwards and Jonny Ribbans, Alfred HomesAlfred Homes recently enhanced its Winchester-based technical team by the appointment of Steven Edwards as senior technical manager and Jonny Ribbans as technical manager. Both bring a wealth of experience from roles at variety of national and bespoke housebuilders. They will work alongside long-term development director Neville Bailey and construction director Alan Richards.

 

Nigel Greenaway, Tilia Homes

Nigel Greenaway, Tilia HomesTilia Homes has announced the appointment of Nigel Greenaway as CEO, following the departure of David Bridges. The industry veteran has spent over 40 years in the housebuilding sector at a range of companies, including over 30 years at Persimmon Homes, where he most recently served on the company’s Main Board of Directors as chief executive of South Division.

 

Emma Webster, Godwin Developments

Emma Webster, Godwin DevelopmentsGodwin Developments has appointed experienced housing association professional Emma Webster to the position of associate director of partnerships. Her ten-year track record includes the role of land manager at Bromford Housing Group and registered providers such as Rooftop and Citizen (formerly WM Housing Group) and Housing 21.

 

Mark Witherspoon, GBuilder

Mark Witherspoon, GBuilderFormer data services director of Zoopla Property Group, Mark Witherspoon, has joined the Finnish ConTech company GBuilder He has held a wide variety of executive roles in both residential property and retail financial services over the past 35 years. In 2009, Witherspoon joined Zoopla Property Group as a data services director

 

Tia Bingham, Rippon Homes

Tia Bingham, Rippon HomesA dedicated employee with three years’ experience at Rippon Homes has been rewarded for her work and commitment with a role as full time sales executive at the developer’s flagship development Eleanor Gardens in Navenby. Director of sales and marketing Julie Johnson, said: “She consistently delivers an amazing customer journey, and we know she has a long career ahead of her with us.”

 

Two appointments, Countryside

Joe Turner and Kate Ives, CountrysideCountryside Partnerships North has appointed Joe Turner as managing director for the Manchester and Cheshire East region, an interim role he has held since August 2021. Kate Ives has taken up the role of strategic growth director for London and the south of England. Most recently, she held the same role for the company in Wales and prior to that, development director of First Base.

 

Lucy Weaver, TopHat

Lucy Weaver, TopHatTopHat, has hired Lucy Weaver as group HR director, brining some 18 years of experience in manufacturing and logistics from previous roles including those at Halma Plc and Unipart Rail (a division of the Unipart Group). For the latter, she was responsible for managing 900 employees across 14 sites across the UK.

 

Keir Waddell, Strutt & Parker

Keir Waddell, Strutt & ParkerStrutt & Parker has announced Keir Waddell as director and head of its London New Homes sales team. He joins the team having spent seven years at Knight Frank, where he was one of the firm’s youngest partners in his role as office head in Battersea & Riverside. Waddell commented: “I’m joining an extremely accomplished team who are experts in their individual fields.”

 

Edward Callaghan, Navana Property Group

Edward Callaghan, Navana Property GroupNavana Property Group has appointed Edward Callaghan as chief financial officer. He will also be CFO for parent company Navana Holdings. His extensive experience in the property industry include three years as CFO for JLL Property and Asset Management UK and prior to that, senior roles at facilities management provider Mitie Group Plc and co-living specialist The Collective.

 

Andrew Murray, Clarion Housing Group

Andrew Murray, ClarionClarion has appointed consultant Andrew Murray to join its board. A former partner at legal firm Winckworth Sherwood, he joins Clarion’s board with more than 25 years’ experience advising on major housing projects, including as a lead partner for Genesis and working with Affinity Sutton and Circle Housing Group when the two merged to form Clarion in 2016.

 

Oliver Barrett, Rockwell

Oliver Barrett, RockwellMixed-use developer Rockwell has announced the appointment of Oliver Barrett as land director. He joins having helped build the Amazon Real Estate Team and brings significant large-scale acquisitions experience and expertise to the company. Previous roles include head of property at Lidl GB.

 

Two appointments, Ainscough

Rachael Ainscough and David O’Reilly, AinscoughRachael Ainscough has been promoted to the role of chief executive at the Leigh-based land promoter. David O’Reilly has taken up her previous position of managing director. O’Reilly was formerly the land director at Ainscough Strategic Land, having joined the company less than three years before from Story Homes.
