We take our weekly look at some of the appointments and promotions across the housebuilding industry and its supply chain.

Two appointments, Bewley Homes

Andrew Driscoll and Geoff France, Bewley HomesBewley Homes has strengthened its land division with two senior director appointments. Andrew Driscoll, 52, has joined as Western land director in a newly created position, while Geoff France, 47, has been promoted to Eastern land director, having been with the company for over seven years and will be responsible for growing the Home Counties land opportunities.

 

Lee Woodfine, Persimmon Homes East Wales

Lee Woodfine, Persimmon Homes East WalesLee Woodfine is the new man at the helm at Persimmon Homes East Wales, based in Llantrisant. He was named MD at Waterstone Homes and later became group managing director (construction) at Jehu Group. He entered the world of housebuilding with Lovell Partnerships., moving to ISG as operations manager before roles at Kier Living and Lovell Partnerships.

 

JP Kerr, Muir Homes

JP Kerr, Muir HomesMuir Homes has made another new appointment to strengthen its team, making this the third appointment in the past month. JP Kerr, who joins as commercial manager, brings over 15 years commercial experience in the house building industry. He joins Muir Homes from a similar role at Everwarm where he worked as senior commercial manager.

 

Ralph Lindsay, Vistry Group

Ralph Lindsay, Vistry GroupVistry Group PLC has announced that Ian Tyler will step down as chairman of the company at the Group’s Annual General Meeting on 18 May 2022 and that Ralph Findlay will succeed him and be appointed as chairman at that meeting. Greg Fitzgerald, CEO, said: “I very much look forward to continuing to work with Ralph in his new role.”

 

Lucy Breeze, Golding Homes

Lucy Breeze, Golding HomesGolding Homes has appointed Lucy Breeze as sustainability manager, the first person to hold this position. A practitioner for the Institute for Environmental Management and Assessment (PIEMA), she worked for the Environment Agency as an Environment Programme Manager and joins Golding from Kent County Council where she was the environment strategy manager.

 

Two appointments, Persimmon Homes

Tom Rider and Rachel Caplin, Persimmon HomesPersimmon Homes North London has strengthened its land and planning team with the appointment of two specialists. Tom Rider joins a senior land manager and Rachel Caplin as a development planner. Caplin said: “I’m very much looking forward to working with one of the largest volume housebuilders in the UK and the invaluable opportunities and experiences that will bring.”

 

Two appointments, Davidsons Homes

Paul Waterfield and Rachel Pramayon, Davidsons HomesDavidsons Homes has announced two significant internal promotions at its Blisworth-based South Midlands region. Paul Waterfield has taken on the new role of technical director, while Rachel Pramayon has been promoted to the position of land director. James Burnham, MD of Davidsons Homes South Midlands, said: “These are well-deserved promotions.”

 

Jacob Edwards, Castle Green Homes

Jacob Edwards, Castle Green HomesCastle Green Homes has taken on Jacob Edwards as a management trainee. From Holyhead in North Wales, he studied financial management at Liverpool John Moores University. “I enjoy anything that involves organisational skills and also have an interest in finance,” he said. “The amount of construction at home gave me the inspiration and passion for taking it up as career.”

 

James Griffin, NHBC

James Griffin, NHBCNHBC has appointed James Griffin as its new regional director to lead customer relations with builder clients in the East of England region. He has been with NHBC for 15 years, has a wealth of technical knowledge and customer relationship management experience, having held a number of roles in claims and inspection, most recently as inspection manager for the Quality team.

 

Multiple appointments, Homes for Scotland

Homes for Scotland logoTrade body Homes for Scotland (HFS) has bolstered its executive team with five new appointments: Liz Hamilton as head of local & regional planning; Richard Lewington as senior planning adviser; Steve Fawcett as head of technical services; Vikki Manson as senior policy officer; and Supi Dematagoda is a new planning and policy graduate.
