We take our weekly look at some of the appointments and promotions across the housebuilding industry and its supply chain.

Ian Thomson, Miller Homes

Ian Thomson, Miller HomesIan Thomson, 41, from Leeds has joined the Miller Homes Yorkshire team as land director. He has worked in the housebuilding sector his entire career after graduating from Cardiff University with a degree in Architectural Engineering. Since then, his career has seen him gain experience across all elements of the sector with his last post as land director for another housebuilder.

 

Katie Christou, Hayfield

Katie Christou, HayfieldHayfield has recruited Katie Christou as a planning manager, after eight years at Milton Keynes-based David Lock Associates. Her management experience spans the entire planning process, from site promotion to development implementation. Katie has worked on a national basis for a number of PLC and privately owned housebuilders, as well as land promoters.

 

Sarah Freel, Lovell

Sarah Freel, LovellLovell has hired a new partnership manager to grow its activity in Scotland’s social housing sector. Sarah Freel has re-joined the company, having previously worked there in customer relations and partnership roles for 15 years between 2003 and 2018. She said: “It’s fantastic to be back at Lovell, I was proud with what we were able to achieve in my previous 15 years here.”

 

Danny Cheal, Avant Homes

Danny Cheal, Avant HomesAvant Homes has appointed Danny Cheal to the role of land director for the West Midlands. He brings with him 21 years’ experience in the housebuilding industry. Commenting on his appointment, Danny said: “It’s a great time to join Avant Homes and I look forward to building a presence and a team in the West Midlands.”

 

Three appointments, Godwin Developments

Nick Harrison, Andrew Cox and Michael Sutton, Godwin DevelopmentsGodwin Developments has announced the appointment of three experienced property professionals to its in-house team. Nick Harrison has been appointed to the position of planning director, with seasoned property leads Andrew Cox and Michael Sutton also joining as development director, industrial and associate director, construction respectively.
