We take our weekly look at some of the appointments and promotions across the housebuilding industry and its supply chain.

Phil McHugh, Countryside

Phil McHugh, CountrysideCountryside has promoted Phil McHugh to managing director to lead its Partnerships South Midlands region. Having worked with Countryside’s Partnerships North West region for six years, Phil joined Partnerships Midlands five years ago, holding a number of directorial posts across the division – most recently as construction director for the Partnerships East Midlands region.

 

Multiple appointments, Redrow

Mike Ashworth, Katie Miller, Emily Colebrook, Harriet Parker, RedrowPlanning manager Mike Ashworth and senior land manager Katie Miller have joined Redrow’s Wakefield-based Yorkshire division. History graduate Emily Colebrook has come aboard as a land and planning graduate, while Harriet Parker, who originally joined Redrow on its rotational graduate programme – has been promoted from land negotiator to land manager.

 

Three appointments, Castle Green Homes

Norman Kelly, Castle Green HomesCastle Green Homes has made three appointments. Norman Kelly (pictured) is head of the technical department, formerly with Bloor and bringing more than 20 years’ experience with him. Neil Creasey has joined the company from Bellway Homes NW as contracts manager. Ben Ball, with over 20yars’ industry experience, is the company’s new development engineer.

 

Multiple appointments, Shropshire Homes

Tom Cox, Shropshire HomesShropshire Homes are continuing to grow their workforce with a number of new appointments. Tom Cox (pictured) joins from Taylor Wimpey to be commercial director. The sales, finance and technical departments have also seen expansion following a busy 12 months. The company has also maintained its commitment to training apprentices within their construction teams.

 

Wayne Smith, Living Space Housing

Wayne Smith, Living Space HousingSolihull-based Living Space Housing has announced the appointment of Wayne Smith as a buyer. He joins from Colas Rail Limited, where he was based at Alpha Tower in Birmingham as a senior buyer for the Midland Metro Alliance. He enjoyed a 20-year career as a carpenter and maintenance specialist before becoming a buyer.

 

Multiple appointments, Lovell Partnerships

Lovell Partnerships in the east of the UK has appointed: Chris Smith as land and partnerships manager; Dave Atkinson as technical manager; Mark Ballantyne as regional development manager; Marlena Przewuska, senior development manager; James Sargent, land buyer; Dave Walklate, commercial manager; Tom Thorpe, quantity surveyor, and Ellie Cockroft, assistant quantity surveyor.

 

Grayham Tucker, Burrington Estates

Grayham Tucker, Burrington EstatesBurrington Estates has promoted Grayham Tucker to managing director for its South West region. Previously holding the role of commercial director since the formation of the business in 2016, he is a qualified RICS quantity surveyor with some 20 years of industry experience. He joined the company following a six-year commercial management role at Taylor Wimpey.

 

David Hodgkinson, Barratt Homes

David Hodgkinson, Barratt HomesBarratt Developments Yorkshire East has appointed David Hodgkinson as its new commercial director. He joins the business from Persimmon Homes South Yorkshire, where he was commercial manager for two-and-a-half years. He previously worked at Barratt from 2002 to 2019, progressing from cost surveyor to chief quantity surveyor.

 

Three appointments, Persimmon

Persimmon South EastPersimmon South East has announced some promotions. Former sales director Martin Crick has been named managing director (designate) of Persimmon Homes South East, while Natasha Stevens is promoted to head of sales, previously sales manager for the Thames Valley region. Brendon O’Neill meanwhile has moved up from MD to a new role as South East divisional director.
