We take our weekly look at some of the appointments and promotions across the housebuilding industry and its supply chain.

Four appointments, Urban Union

Urban Union teamUrban Union has strengthened its Glasgow-based team with four new appointments. Daniel MacDonald has joined the company as a design engineer; Claire Ferris has taken up the position of quantity surveyor; Ashleigh Donnelly has taken on the role of finance manager; and Chloe Paterson, has joined the customer care team as customer care advisor.

 

David Westwater, Artisan Real Estate

David Westwater, Artisan Real EstateDavid Westwater will join Artisan this month as Scottish regional manager, following 40 years of industry experience including Frasers Property UK, Interserve plc and most recently, as development director at Robertson Property. Artisan is also currently recruiting a Scottish commercial and technical manager to further add to the team’s expansion.

 

Two appointments, CALA Homes

Oliver Cooney and Ryan Menezies, CALA HomesCALA Homes has bolstered its commitment to its newly launched Sustainability Strategy with the appointment of two sustainability analysts. Oliver Cooney and Ryan Menezies will produce detailed reports and model various scenario home builds, with an initial focus on improving air quality and water consumption within CALA homes.

 

Nicola Jones, Women in Property

Nicola Jones, Women in PropertyNicola Jones, senior project manager at Cardiff-based property consultancy Gleeds, has been appointed as the national vice chair of Women in Property. She said: “To work my way up and to be encouraged every step of the way by my colleagues and peers, has been so important to me and my career, and that is what I now want to do in my role with Women in Property.”

 

David Jervis, Burrington Estates

David Jervis, Burrington EstatesBurrington Estates Midlands has appointed David Jervis, the former head of Spitfire Bespoke Homes, as managing director. A former chartered surveyor, he set up Spitfire in 2010 as the residential development arm of IM Properties. He also successfully launched Chase Homes in 1995 on behalf of a Midlands entrepreneur.

 

Robert Lofthouse, Pennyfarthing Homes

Robert Lofthouse, Pennyfarthing HomesPennyfarthing Homes has announced the appointment of Robert Lofthouse as a planning manager. A chartered town planner, he joins from Savills Wimborne office, where he had been for 19 years as an associate director. He said: “I’m pleased to be returning to my roots, being based back in the New Forest where I started my planning career with New Forest District Council.”

 

Stuart Morgan, Story Homes

Stuart Morgan, Story HomesStory Homes in the North East has recently welcomed Stuart Morgan to the business as a new land director. He brings with him over 18 years of experience in land and property development across the north of England and his knowledge and expertise are expected to be instrumental as the company pushes forward with growth plans across the region.

 

Francesca Smith, KALMARs

Francesca Smith, KALMARsSouth London estate agent KALMARs has announced the appointment of Francesca Smith as an office co-ordinator for the residential team. She has spent the last three years working at Urban & Provincial London as an executive assistant where she built on her extensive client experience, office organisation as well as managing high-level directors.

 

Two appointments, Pegasus Group

Eleanor Overton and Ben Andrews, Pegasus GroupPegasus Group, specialists in planning, design, environment, economics and heritage services, has made two new appointments. Eleanor Overton, with over 15 years’ experience, has joined the East Midlands office as an associate planner, while associate urban designer Ben Andrews has nine years’ experience and has been hired by the Solent office.

 

Mark Grainger, Moores

Mark Grainger, MooresKitchen manufacturer Moores has announced the retirement of environmental and quality systems manager, Mark Grainger, after 32 years of dedicated service. Steve Parkin, CEO of Moores Furniture Group said: “His initiatives over the years have kept Moores ahead of the curve and we want to thank him for his long and dedicated service.”
