He comes with almost 20 years’ experience in the residential property sector gained at Fairview New Homes and Barratt Developments. MD for Shanly Homes Thames Valley, Stewart Kirk, commented: “He has an outstanding track record in the new homes industry.”

 

Meriam Lock-Necrews, Battersea Power Station Development Company

She has spent over 15 years in the residential property market and is a former partner and head of super prime residential development at Knight Frank. She has described her new position as a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity”.

 

Nathan Astley, Vistry Partnerships

Nathan Astley, Vistry PartnershipsVistry Partnerships has hired Nathan Astley as its new commercial director for the North West. He brings with him some 35 years of industry experience and joins from Create Construction, where he was pre-construction director. He had previously held the position of commercial executive at Styles & Wood for more than five years.

 

Two appointments, Persimmon Homes Lancashire

Geoff Brown and Alex Ryan, Persimmon HomesPersimmon Homes has named Geoff Brown as construction director designate, having been with the company for almost 18 years as contracts manager and, from 2016, as construction manager. Alex Ryan, who joined in 2015 as sales advisor, has been promoted to sales manager, co-ordinating the sales teams at sites across Cumbria and North Lancashire.

 

Hamish Bruce, Black Brick

Hamish Bruce, Black BrickIndependent buying agency Black Brick has announced the appointment of Hamish Bruce to head up its Managed Sales service. For the past seven years he has worked as a negotiator and sales manager for Marsh and Parsons and brings with him a wealth of experience, having worked in numerous areas of London in some of the most testing markets.

 

Dr Zoe Wyrko, Riverstone

Dr Zoe Wyrko, RiverstoneLater living developer Riverstone has announced the appointment of a well-being director alongside the creation of a well-being specialist group. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience including previous roles as a director at University Hospitals Birmingham and being a visiting Professor to the Aston University Research Centre into Healthy Ageing.

 

Shauna Blake, Llanmoor Homes

Shauna Blake, Llanmoor HomesShauna Blake has been promoted to the land and planning department at Llanmoor Homes. She joined the company in 2016 as receptionist at head office andis now in the second year of her part-time course in Construction & the Built Environment, which will enable her to work towards her Higher National Certificate (HNC) and possibly even a Higher National Diploma (HND).

 

John Winstanley, Story Homes

John Winstanley, Story HomesStory Homes has appointed John Winstanley as strategic land managing director, heading a newly created business unit. With over 15 years’ experience, he has worked for the company for more than five years and has been promoted from his position as strategic land and planning director. Ex-Persimmon man Mark Cook joined as a non-executive director at the start of February.

 

Paula Broadbent, Lovell Later Living

Lovell Later Living logoPaula Broadbent has been appointed to Lovell Later Living as its managing director, to commence in April 2021. She was previously retirement solutions director at ENGIE Places and Communities. She brings more than 30 years of experience in offering services to older people and the over 55s market. Steve Coleby, Lovell’s MD, said: “This appointment reflects our ambition.”

 

Katie Saunders, Richborough Estates

Katie Saunders, Richborough EstatesLand promoter Richborough Estates has welcomed graduate Katie Saunders as assistant land and planning manager for the Eastern Division, focusing on the Central and South East regions. This is her first industry role since leaving Loughborough University with a Construction Engineering Management degree, which included a placement year with BAM Construct.

 

Alex Delamere-White, McCarthy Stone

Alex Delamere-White, McCarthy StoneMcCarthy Stone has announced the appointment of Alex Delamere-White as its chief commercial officer, commencing this summer and reporting directly to CEO John Tonkiss. He is currently sales and marketing director at P&O Cruises and was appointed head of sales for Princess Cruises in 2013, and then became vice president of sales for Carnival UK in 2015.

 

Derren Chamberlain, FirstPort

Derren Chamberlain, FirstPortFirstPort has appointed a director of supply chain Ooperations to ensure that customers and clients are at the centre of its strategy. Derren Chamberlain has 25 years’ experience and has joined from ISS where he was chief procurement officer for just over four years. Prior to this, he was supply chain director for the Maritime Services at BAE Systems.
