We take our weekly look at some of the appointments and promotions across the housebuilding industry and its supply chain.

 

Kate Tait, Cameron Homes

Kate Tait, Cameron HomesCameron Homes has appointed Kate Tait to the newly created role of group land and planning director. She brings over 20 years’ experience to the role, having spent the early years of her career as a development surveyor working in consultancy and most recently spending 15 years as regional strategic land director for Persimmon PLC in the Midlands.

 

Tom Hughes, Redrow

Tom Hughes, RedrowRedrow Eastern division has appointed Tom Hughes as head of land, the latest step in a 15-year career in property at the likes of CBRE and Colliers International. His last role was four years as a senior land manager at Berkeley Group PLC. He said: “Redrow’s focus on placemaking and the quality of its house types were key reasons for me wanting to join the business.”

 

Lisa Hulme, Lovell Homes

Lisa Hulme, Lovell HomesLovell Homes North West has appointed experienced sales manager Lisa Hulme to oversee the development and completion of communities reaching from South Cheshire to Cockermouth. Over a 20-year career in the construction industry having worked for Wimpey, Bellway, and Keepmoat. Of her new role, she said: “I can’t wait to get stuck in.”

 

Nick Worrall, Barratt Developments

Nick Worrall, Barratt DevelopmentsBarratt Developments plc has appointed Nick Worrall as group HR director, replacing Rob Tansey, who has retired. A Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and with a degree in modern languages, he joins from Countryside Properties, where he was group HR director from 2014, having previously held HR director positions in the retail, energy and financial services sectors.

 

Mark Foster, Fruition Properties

Mark Foster, Fruition PropertiesLondon developer Fruition Properties has hired former professional rugby player Mark Foster as financial controller and funding analyst. He joins from Deloitte’s Real Estate M&A tax team. Prior to qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, Mark was a professional rugby player for Exeter Chiefs, Gloucester Rugby and Jersey, also earning caps for England’s 7’s team.

 

Two appointments, Pobl Group

Elfed Roberts and Adam Roberts, Pobl GroupPobl Group has made two new key appointments into senior roles in its Commercial division. Elfed Roberts is now head of sustainability and innovation and will, amongst other things, focus on the decarbonisation of new homes. Adam Roberts has joined from Coastal Housing as head of development West, the role vacated by Elfed.

 

Andy Swinnerton, Aggregate Industries

Andy Swinnerton, Aggregate IndustriesConstruction materials supplier Aggregate Industries has appointed Andy Swinnerton as the new managing director of its Aggregates division, also joining the company’s Executive Committee. He has accrued more than 30 years of experience in the extractive industries, joining Aggregate Industries in 2016 as director business excellence.
