We take our weekly look at some of the appointments and promotions across the housebuilding industry and its supply chain.

 

Fiona Fletcher-Smith, L&Q

Fiona Fletcher-Smith, L&QL&Q has today announced that Fiona Fletcher-Smith will succeed David Montague as its chief executive with immediate effect. Previously the company’s group director of development and sales, she has led projects such as Barking Riverside, and has previous roles which include that of the GLA’s executive director for development, enterprise and environment.

 

Fran Leedham, St Modwen

Fran Leedham, St ModwenFran Leedham has been appointed head of responsible business by St Modwen, focused on the company’s targets around carbon, biodiversity and education. She joins from JLL, where she was director of its sustainability strategy consulting practice. She has previously worked for Jaguar Land Rover, most recently as global head of environment and sustainability.

 

Matthew Evans, TopHat

Matthew Evans, TopHatModular manufacturer TopHat has appointed Airbus’ vice president of digital transformation, Matthew Evans, to become the company’s chief technology officer. He has a doctoral degree in theoretical physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and over 15 years’ experience at the likes of Lockheed Martin and Siemens.

 

Harriet Dunstan, Audley Group

Harriet Dunstan, Audley GroupAudley Group has announced the appointment of Harriet Dunstan as its marketing director to lead the 14-strong department team. She joined the company in 2012 with experience in creative and brand response agencies in the UK and Australia. Kevin Shaw, managing director, said: “Harriet has made an incredible impact at Audley since joining eight years ago.”

 

Paul Breen, Living Space Housing

Paul Breen, Living Space HousingLiving Space Housing has promoted Paul Breen to commercial director. With over 20 years’ industry experience, he was a key founding senior member of the Living Space team and has managed the commercial function for the business since its inception in 2019. He has previously worked for RGB Group, Bovis Homes and Thomas Vale Construction.

 

Two appointments, Crest Nicholson

Kieran Daya and Jane Cookson, Crest NicholsonCrest Nicholson has appointed Kieran Daya and Jane Cookson to its executive leadership team (ELT). Daya is a qualified solicitor who has worked with some of the country’s largest developers, including Vistry Partnerships. Jane Cookson, HR director, has been at Crest Nicholson for 18 years, joining as HR manager in 2002.

 

Sian Myers, Countryside

Sian Myers, CountrysideCountryside has promoted Sian Myers from culture transformation director to the business’ executive management team to the newly created role of group chief people and culture officer. After more than 15 years of experience in HR, primarily with Ford Motor Company, she joined the company in 2015 and later assumed director level HR duties for the entire group.

 

Richard Gregory, Place For People Group

Richard Gregory, Place For People GroupPlaces for People Group has named Richard Gregory OBE its new chair following the departure of longstanding incumbent Chris Phillips. He is an experienced chair and non-executive director across private and public sectors, including roles past and present at the likes of Virgin Money UK PLC, Together Personal Finance, and Sheffield Hallam University.
