We take our weekly look at some of the appointments and promotions across the housebuilding industry and its supply chain.

Nick Twine, CALA Homes

Nick Twine of CALA HomesNick Twine has taken up the position of regional chairman of CALA Homes, responsible for three of the homebuilder’s divisions across the M11, A12 and A1 corridors. He joined the housebuilder as regional managing director in 2014 and has accumulated over 30 years’ experience in the housebuilding industry.

 

Heather Payne, FirstPort

Heather Payne of FirstPortResidential property management company FirstPort has appointed Heather Payne as chief technology officer. Her career path has involved delivering digital transformation across multiple sectors, with roles including positions at DMG Media, Thomas Cook Group, Hotels 4U, and previously as CTO at Avon Cosmetics.

 

Angela Nurse, Bellway

Angela Nurse of BellwayCoventry-based Bellway South Midlands has appointed Angela Nurse as sales manager. She has experience of the role at other housebuilders and will now be looking after sales advisors across sites in Coventry, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Oxfordshire. She said: “I’m enjoying developing a team from individuals who all have their own strengths.”

 

Tony Quinn, Caesarstone

Tony Quinn of CaesarstoneCaesarstone has welcomed Tony Quinn to its sales team with responsibility for managing and developing business with key kitchen and bathroom retailers, showrooms and fabricators across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire. He brings with him over 15 years’ experience in the industry, working with both manufacturers and distributors.

 

Three appointments, BRE

Trustees of BREBRE has appointed three new Trustees. Chair of the BRE Trust, Sir James Wates CBE welcomed Paul Hetherington, chief executive of C&C Marshall; Professor Vicky Pope, until recently head of science and technology futures for Met Office Government Services; and Jonathan Rickard, a chartered architect who leads Radian’s construction programme.

 

Hannah Chapman of Hedley Planning ServicesHannah Chapman, Hedley Planning Services

Hedley Planning Services has appointed Hannah Chapman as assistant planner for its new Teesside and Yorkshire office. She is a graduate of Newcastle university and to work alongside director Stephen Litherland and the senior management team on growing the Wynyard-based operation with residential and commercial clients across the region.

 

Stephen Hodder, Construction Industry Council

Stephen Hodder of CICThe Construction Industry Council (CIC), the organisation that brings together the construction industry’s professional bodies, has announced a new chairman. Architect Stephen Hodder was deputy chair and takes over the helm from civil engineer John Nolan, who says: “I am sure that he will make a great success of the role.”

 

Chris Slinn, NBS

Chris Slinn of NBSConstruction industry technology firm NBS has appointed Chris Slinn in a new role as its new chief revenue officer. He becomes the company’s fourth executive director and will focus on its worldwide sales growth. “I am genuinely looking forward to working with the NBS team… as we look to take this business to the next level,” he said.

 

Colette Grover, Create Group

Colette Grover of Create GroupBlackpool-based design and build experts Create Group has announced the appointment of Colette Grover to the new role of head of people, covering staff at all the Group at its head office and sites across the country. She comes aboard with over 22 years’ experience in human resources management.
